My Great Aunt Peggy worked for the US Army making maps during WW2. Her boyfriend and later husband was in the European theater in the Army. I used to play this for her and she said it made her think of Jay. She passed earlier this year. I miss her.

WE'VE BEEN MARRIED FOR 66 YEARS. THIS SONG WAS THE SONG THAT MADE US FALL IN LOVE, SO SAYS OUR KIDS. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL I FALL IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN W/ MY LOVER BOY WHEN I HEAR THIS SONG MARRIED ON VALENTINE DAY 1946.

What a beautiful story; how romantic! Thanks for sharing it with us. My parents were of the same generation; I grew up with many of these songs. I've also sung many of them. Amazing to think you listened to this on a 78rpm record, then stereo, CD, etc etc, and now online; amazing to think of all the historic events you've seen; inspiring to think of such long, rewarding life together.

Absolutley beautiful. The music of the 1940s and 50s just gives one such a warm feeling. The music of those two decades needs to be cherrished until the end of time

Try Harry Connick, Jr. ..... with all due respect. I can just see Harry in the movie (yet to be filmed) ... recreating Frank's life and sound.... "The Life and Times of Frank Sinatra). He has the tonal quality. Mr. Sinatra fantastic entertainer...actor and singer. ❤

I dated this girl Freshman year of High school, her name was Alyssa, We broke up Sophomore year around that time frame; I always kept in touch with her here and there, but up to a year ago we started dating again after all these years. When we danced for the 1st time this song was the 1st one that came up.... Coincidence i think not.

I dated a senior my sophomore year and we broke up because she turned 18 and I was still 15 but I hope I end up with her later in life because she was just one in a billion she had the best personality smart, funny, witty, caring, and beautiful. I don’t think I’ll ever find anyone more amazing than she was

Just saw the movie. It was a bore! Sorry to all the fans, but I was bored unit the end that is. I really love the scene where Cap comes back and he is an old man. I didn't get it at first, but then I thought he went back to Peggy and they had life together! And they danced like he promised! Sure enough the camera pans the street and I see those old cars and then the house and there they are and this song, this beautiful song from their time is playing and it fades out! What a terrific ending to boring movie. (sorry again fans)
