Xanthe- Ive been following your content since your youswim interview and it has been such a gift and an inspiration over this time! It's always wholesome, peaceful, and honest. Your life is truly beautiful and special, but you never document it in a way that feels fake or staged or shy away from stating that it's not perfect or always to-plan. And that's so healing to see in someone who creates such incredible content! Your transparency and intentionality are so appreciated in the the often hurried and staged flurry of social media- your videos bring a sense of calm rather than anxiety and that's so rare

I agree with the comment that your KZbin is very positive and calming - keep it up! Though I must admit your Instagram used to feel such a positive place that now feels very ‘influencer’, brand sponsorship heavy and filled with paid gifts on top of what is already a very privileged life. You used to seem to care much more about sustainability, growing and helping others care for the planet which I don’t see you speaking about any more over there as it’s flooded with fashion, influencers and consumerism 😔

Hi! Thank you so much for raising your concerns, I really appreciate your feedback. While I still only work with brands who I would buy from anyway, I understand that Instagram and being an 'influencer' comes with lots of problematic overconsumption, which I am highly aware of in my own way. Sometimes it gets exciting, and I can get a bit swept up in it and get it wrong. I'm sorry to hear that you think that my Instagram is brand sponsorship heavy, again, I only work with brands/products who I'd endorse anyway without payment, and also, I am self-employed full time so I earn my salary this way. Without this, I wouldn't be able to make KZbin videos, spend time creating content for Instagram, or host community events and supper clubs which in themselves aren't financially viable. I work really hard to try to keep my sponsored content as minimal and as natural as possible, and try to reflect that these brands are in my everyday life anyway. I am now living in London so I don't have the opportunity to grow my own food, however, all of the other values that I have had since I started my page, are still very important and central to my work. I work with many independent brands to help promote their work, and like to think that my Instagram is still very food heavy, where I cook and cater for events that always have sustainability and seasonality very central to their focus. Through my food and the community I have grown, I am still talking about sustainability and helping others navigate caring for the planet in different formats to maybe how I was originally. I am working on my confidence on social media because when I had less followers I found it way easier to speak openly, now there are many more people watching/listening, I'm often more nervous than I was before. This is potentially why less of my character shows through Instagram than on KZbin, because there are less people here! Again, I am learning constantly and will keep trying to have a more positive impact on there. I do really hear you though and thank you for holding me accountable, it's really important that this is a open space where you can be honest with me and I promise you I'll take this comment on board as I navigate my platform and its affect on the people following. Hope you have a lovely day xx (also sorry for the very long reply!!)

@@xanthemrossi dont think you can win because i presume you tag things to save people asking or to help a nice brand and then that looks a bit like "promotion". It's not easy🙏

The latest Zoe podcast with Federica is amazing i thought. So many things i didnt know. Also comes back to Xanthe's childhood because the first 3 years are when it matters for the gut microbiome (if I understood correctly). Latest Mark Hyman podcast on this subject too.

I worry you are going to get overwhelmed with offers of work - even though its absolutely nothing to do with me 🙈. Hope you can keep the balance how you want it 🙏
