Ambitious project. But it's not an elegant design. Car amp has a DC to DC boost converter in it already. You're going from 240V ac to 12V DC to +-120V DC. It makes sense to modify the amp and eliminate a step in your design. Going from 240V ac to +-120V DC would achieve the power goal with A lot less current

@@seraphin_creates I'm not an electrical engineer. I'm just an electrician. I was fiddling with audio amps and electronics when I was younger. I built some simple amplifiers, but I don't consider myself an expert. My claim is based on simple logic. Why would you deal with a shitloads of current if you don't have to?

The reason I ended up doing this is for several reasons, I might go into more detail in a future video But basically, creating a switchmode 240v AC to +/- 120v DC supply seemed about the same effort as +14v DC, and I wasn't comfortable modifying the amp (at the start of the project) This power supply should power any 12v appliance or charge a 12v battery without any modification to the appliance, so I can run multiple amps off the single unit This unit should be powerful enough to start any car without a battery, and I might be able to weld with it at the same time lmao I'd also like the ability to supplement my car's charging system to run a big sound system, as small Japanese cars which tend to be what I own have next to no space for alternators Also having a regulated supply means I can do things like amp dynos with fixed variables, and making the supply myself means I can probe voltages at the amp itself and have it correct for that ignoring power cable resistance

Make sure you patent any ideas you design. You should design a new type of car amplifier like the Brazilian. Design new types of transformers as well.. you have 2 hears..starting now.
