My niece is going to Winona State and will be a Sophomore and one of my friends granddaughter’s is also going there and will be a freshman. I have lived in Minnesota my whole 71 years and I just never heard much about that college! Crazy, it must be stepping up its game! Great to hear! ❤️😍😎🌞

I went to Winona State on an athletic scholarship, 1979/80. It was a perfect location in a not-too-big town. I got involved w FCA there…Fellowship of Christian Athletes & grew in my faith. I transferred the next year to Northwestern College in Roseville. Graduated from there after wonderful years of friends, sports, chapel, community. My niece went to Winona & graduated some 30+ yrs after me.

@@MeghanBirchI grew up in the WI bluff area of Buffalo county on a centennial farm. We were the 2nd owners after the original settlers. The people that bought it have since turned it into a pizza/wedding/event venue. It’s called The Stone Barn w a Nelson, WI rural address, but nearer to Urne & Lyster Church where I was baptized & in youth choir. Have your sis do a road trip!

My nephew hated his food to touch. He hated casseroles and didn’t like gravy on his potatoes etc. also gagged on oatmeal. He would drink pediasure though.

Lovely that you had a chill 4th of July 😊 We smoked two briskets and two pork butts and had a ton of good eats to go with. It was 110 degrees so the pool was enjoyed. Loved the interaction with you and your sister. You are both adorable.🥰

Mount olive pickles are the best! It is an actual company in the county i live in. Mount Olive is an actual town. Glad your sister is doing well. And there is nothing wrong with her taking a couple of years to figure out specifically knowing what she wants to do and its good to have a diverse resume. It will be more fun doing classes in your major. They hold your interest

We cooked brats in the air fryer (because it is beastly hot and humid), calico beans, veggie tray, Cheetos, cotton candy grapes, cherries, and brownie ice cream sundaes; my sister and bil (also empty-nesters) came over. Nothing fancy or labor intensive, but what a great time we had just talking! I used to make everything from scratch (butter and hot dog buns included!), but when my kids hit high school, I realized that I didn’t need to do that anymore.
