Ahhh. The Ghost of past mistakes. I have had at least 3 (007) and 2 (009). I gave them away to family members and friends. I use to pick them up for a little bit of nothing. Now! Look at the prices. 😭😭

The SKX has become very expensive after it was discontinued. So I bought a Heimdallr ripoff in titanium. Very good watch. And my second real Seiko after the five sports model will be a Seiko Turtle. It will arrive next week. I hope wears not as big as it is. 🕐⚙️🍸

Seiko is not known for making great bracelets. Case and point, that is an aftermarket bracelet with a milled buckle rather than a seiko bracelet with a stamped buckle.

Such a great watch. Can't believe they would discontinue them. Such a weird move from Seiko. If what they wanted was to bump the price up, they could've simply upgrade the crystal and movement. Everything else is pretty much perfect as is.

I’ve still got two SKX007s. One is totally original, recent service but no modifications. The other is box-fresh - bought a week or so after Seiko announced they would be discontinued and never worn. It gets a day or so in my watch wi dear each month, just to keep it ticking over. I doubt I’ll sell it, but I’m interested as to how prices might go… Thanks for the video and keep well :-)

I’ve got a SKX009J1, Omega SMP 300m and a Speedy among other watches. The Seiko does not compare in any way, yet it’s still a fun watch that I enjoy wearing.
