I need to get back to Wales. I studied geology at Aberystwyth for three years and loved the place.

2 days late to this video because, ironically, I was in Glencoe and Fort William with my drone and camera equipment. BUT ALAS! It was a total wash out, endless rain from the moment we arrived on Tuesday till leaving this morning. The only image I got was my American friend, who I had taken with me who's flown over from Chicago to spend Christmas with my family, stood at the skyfall location on Glen Etive road. He did at least see, despite the weather, why I love the place so much and he can't wait to go back. Another excellent video mate. Really enjoyed that.

@@davekemp750 love that story. Yep been total wash out this week. This afternoon I was caught by my wife, staring at the sky begging it to stop raining. Bit embarrassing.

Cliff and yourself are two of my favourite youtube photographers - I'm aiming to stay nearabouts in May 2025. You're so lucky to live so close - good to see that spring in your step at the end of this video - the locations are so UPLIFTING to all who visit.

Some very nice shots, I was up there for a week last January and had some brilliant light, but best of all we went each morning to your cafe for breakfast which was superb .

thanks for that. I'm glad you had a good breakfast at my cafe. The expanding waistline has stopped me eating any more

Great video and photos Karl. I love the moors especially when frozen. Could you please arrange the same weather for me in a month time when I'm going to be there. Thanks.🙂

'Loch of the Armpit' is a total insult to probably the most beautiful of lochans that I've been to in Scotland - even without snowy, frozen conditions.
@barryaitken97613 күн бұрын
Lovely drone shots Karl. How does your camera handle the low temperatures. Here in Melbourne Australia it's been around 40°c so don't have that problem. Merry Christmas to you and thoroughly enjoy your vlogs. Would come to your workshop with Cliff ( another favourite) but wrong side of the world!

Beautiful images Karl. You always seem to find interesting compositions. Did you shoot them 16:9 in camera or were they cropped in post production ?

no. I converted it to 16:9 in the crop. Thanks for watching
