Massive pieces of wood for those shutters wow, I love that you are keeping them "weathered". Funny how they line up the edge of the tiles instead of staggering them. The little pin holes in your shutters is wood worm, it will pay you to get a wood worm preservative and brush it on its like water so its easy to apply, lovely job by the way

I can't wait to see how they finish those floors. There's more light than I thought there would be, so that makes the rooms look so much calmer.. Those shutters definitely needed some work to get the worm damage gone. What do they use to prevent worms from damaging wood in Portugal? Another couple are using a hemp "wool" for insulation, that looks quite nice by itself, but will be hidden. Soon it's coffee time on the veranda, and maybe you final choice for the tiles or flooring on it. Beautiful work. Those teams are doing everything right and meticulous.👍🇨🇦

I treated the shutters for worm shortly after they were removed from the house. Nothing active just removing the damaged wood. We can buy tins of chemical treatment here.
