I feel bad for sohei players because I’ve have been about to be one shot 5 times so far and the sohei’s team mates hit me and it stops it

Any Sohei players willing to give tips on how to anti-gank (If it's possible)? I can 1v1 alright with him and I can gank, it is just the anti-gank that feels horrendous to deal with. I have been trying to utilize the zone for the early hyper armor and wide range, but full-block characters and characters like Shinobi are practically immune to the zone. My real problem is that he has pretty much no other tools if the one of the guys is babysitting and ready for a dodge attack/zone. Is it just down to pure reads and I need to play more or is there something I can apply right away?

Grab + zone Zone will still hit everyone including the grabbed shinobi/fullblock char

@@pepi560 My problem is that I have been having Shinobi's who dodge as soon as they see the zone come out then I get kicked and the full-block characters.... well, they full block and f*ck me up.

@@pepi560 Although a grab + zone would probably work because they'd want to interrupt but the armor comes in so quick.

Try utilizing your side dodge heavy for external uses. It has a decent hitbox to it that has a use in anti-ganking. As long as you swap to other targets, it should work. Full guard heroes are another problem that Sohei can't consistently deal with while anti-ganking. If possible, try prioritizing full guard characters rather than other targets.

There is no solution to winning 1vX consistently against good opponents. Sometimes the best solution is to realize that in a 1vX the definition of "win" can be loosely applied - in many cases stalling successfully is the win you should look for. Opponents who know how to bash or GB confirm and also properly utilize revenge tags will always have the upper-hand, and ultimately you need them to make mistakes and feed revenge to beat them by yourself typically.

I feel like he’s somewhat balanced now, sure he doesnt do alot of damage on his regular attacks but he has hyper armor

Not an original idea, but one that I liked immensely. So lets up Sohei's baseline damage, nerf his ZENKAI!!!!! max damage, but let him do that move whenever he has any amount of souls. How it would work is that the more souls he has, the more damage it does. There would still be a power jump from 5 souls to 6, but it wouldn't be as dramatic as what we have right now (one shot with 2 feats is no longer possible). That way it alleviates ~some~ frustration with getting the ZENKAI!!!! interrupted, fixes some of the frustration with the hero, and still makes him unique and rewarding to play.

@@Myth-Enjoyer I completely agree.. you could do 13 damage per soul, which reduces the max 6 soul attack to 78dmg (down from 95dmg now) ... then if he had both the debuff 1st feat & 3rd feat dmg buff it would be 125 damage instead of 149 damage .. much more reasonable

@@vicegripp I would honestly put it down to 10 damage per soul and then at 6 stacks it would jump to something like 85 damage or something like that. Just to make sure it rewards the player for achieving 6 souls instead of just a equation of each soul = + # damage.

@@Myth-Enjoyer well then it wouldnt make it make any sense to use until you had at least 3-4 souls, as a normal zone does 24dmg ... souls are harder to gather so they should be more rewarding to spend in my opinion

I love Sohei but I think having hyper armor on his neutral zone is too much, what do you think?
