I'm so happy you have some extra help. I find a difference in kids grown up in the country and kids grown up in the city. I think they are raised totally different.
@sarawoods7874
@sarawoods7874 Ай бұрын
We had our kids in the country in their elementary years and when we moved to the city we heard they were bored more than we ever did in the country. We also had so many people tell us how much more respectful and helpful our kids were compared to others. I don't think our parenting style would have been any different if we had been in the city but I think the community and schools also played a role. Even now with them grown I see the respect and helpfulness they show to others and it warms my heart. My kids are the ones to jump out and help someone with a broke down vehicle or to hand the homeless food.

Happy for you both, we had that heat last week and two days this week we had two tornadoes come through less then a mile from our property. It leaved police barns riped roof right off homes, pulled power poles out of the ground. We are safe and all will be repaired. No lives were lost as what I know. So much destruction Michigan has been hit by tornadoes every month since May something that Michigan's never dealt with. We had one hut our house in June, the two were close to home again. We still don't have our house repaired yet. Telling us lookto be about September before we can start the repairs. Stay safe and drink lots of water with electrolytes. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.

I think the best marriages come to those with similar backgrounds. Growing up in a family of 5, we lived in on my Dad's brother's farm in an old one BR home, no plumbing w/outhouse & hand well pump. A mini farm (goats, pig, rabbits & chickens w/garden). My husband's family of 5, he was the oldest & only boy. I was the youngest & only girl. They lived in an old run down 2 story farm home that had no plumbing w/hand pump well & outhouse. They had a couple milk cows & steers for meat, goats, chickens, pigs & garden. Similar country one room school house for us both. He was from North West Upper Mich & I was from mid southern Michigan. We met at college where we went one year. It just gives more of a common appreciation for life when you understand what it took for our parents to raise a family & our similar up bringing was so much the same both attended a rural community church. Others of our peers lived a more normal lifestyle but we didn't need as much to make us happy. We could concentrate on our needs & goals sooner. You sound like you too had a lot in common with how you were raised & grew up. You seem to understand each other's temperaments & struggles. That's something I know nothing about & feel it's to your advantage as you daily set goals & build your home together.

Sounds like you have a cicada. I worked on a golf course when I was in high school. Close enough to walk to. Learned to drive tractors and loaders, and all the mowing equipment maintenance. Such a great experience. Learned I was mechanically inclined which helped me later. Also pumped gas in the winter, before self serve. LOL. S&H stamps. Now I'm dating myself.

They really need the electric water dispenser that has Cold & Hot water options. Get at least 10, 5 gallon bottles, refill at Walmart or wherever they shop. They already have reusable cups. Keep a few 1 gallon bottles in a cooler outside for easy access. That’s what I would do if it were me needing all that water, in this heat.

Great content, and it is cool, you have good help. Speaking about first jobs, I was 7 and mowing lawns, relatives, and word of mouth, the first year I was doing 5 yards a week, making $10 a week, on the side my grand father owned a fishing lure business, I was pouring lead, 1 cent for 100 hooks, it took a while to make a $1, but the experience was worth it.

Now this is what I am talking about. You both are finding yourselves and living true. Community and friendships are how we are meant to live our lives. Every single day in and day out we are to bring happiness and joy in everything that we do and the people we interact with. So happy to see you recognize the gifts you have to share with us all. I thank you for that. No one is perfect. But the reward to yourself every single night when you are brushing your tooth, is this, DID I TREAT EVERY SINGLE PERSON I INTERACTED WITH TODAY WITH LOVE, KINDNESS AND RESPECT???? If we can say these words we can sleep in peace and thrive. As my Dad would say to me live your life with gusto and happiness, but never forget that one day you might be sinking in quicksand with no help in sight and suddenly someone crosses your path and you reach out for help. I hope when you look up and see a familiar face a similar soul you can get that help you need. Jason and Danielle you are walking the walk, you have put your mind to it and you’re getting it done. So excited to see not only the physical building of your home, but the community and friendships you are building.

It’s funny this is what you’re talking about this morning. 😊 As I have said I’m retired now “ and proud of it ” I have had 100’s of employee interviews. If the first thing that comes out of their mouth is what am I going to be doing or how much am I going to make. The first thing I’ll say is I’ll may call you. 🙄 When I was young I was just ready to go after it. No matter what it was or what I was going to get paid. It was hard to find a job back then. More kids would work. So I just went out and worked for myself. Retired working for myself. Back in my day there were not many jobs because kids would work. Now they’re everywhere though they don’t want to work and get paid. 🥴 Sounds like you’re lucky. Keep bragging on him. 😊

Adults don't want to work, either. I am disabled. I bought a 1984 travel trailer that looked like it was in mint condition. I found water damage in the subfloor.. only in the living room and I am not able to physically handle it. I can't tell you how many people have accepted the job and not bothered to show up. It probably wouldn't take half a day, if that. It's ridiculous. People in Oklahoma are not very reliable these days.

It is hard to find someone to work for a fair wage. Everyone wants $100-200 per hour no matter what the job. I have never made that kind of money in my life. Even if you find someone, they don’t show up or are late. No punctuality, no detail orientation or eye for doing things the right way.

Its great that ya'll have some help on your place, take some weight of the old shoulders...😂😅 Jason, the quickest way to a divorce is to take away from Danielle what she enjoys doing. That sir, is working along side you 😊. Ya'll should plan jobs around what the two of you can do, and jobs for the help to do. If theres any relativity to this statement, when I asked my wife what she wanted for her birthday, she replied a new vacumn, so thats what she got. Its not what she really wanted. I found out after the divorce. Help is great, but Danielle should be enjoying the tasks with you, thats all im saying. I hope this makes sense, a little anyways. Love ya'll ❤️
