it's pretty likely, after all it was a heart from a being long quasi dead, why would anyone think of doing anything to it? plus it really played into his "I speak the will of the Titan" deal he had going on, honestly if someone had told he used machinery to make it look like it was still beating I would've 100% believed it, I myself was caught by surprise when we were basically told the Titan was still alive because his heart was still beating

Y’know before Belos was revealed as a Witch-Hunter I almost thought he was telling the truth when he said he followed the Titan’s Will, that the Titan was a full on Eldritch Abomination, and that the Day of Unity was legit about reviving the Titan. I thought the heart speeding up when he got angry was a sign he was legitimately connected to the Titan. Of course now Belos isn’t the prophet of the Titan he’s a witch hunter who despises magic and it’d be a bit awkward if King’s dad was revealed to be some cosmic abomination this late in the story. So, possession arc it is I guess.

It may sound like a retcon in a way, but if you think about it, he’s probably always had plans with the titan and whatnot, he just didn’t know exactly what it was, until he found he could possess things as goo and then his natural intelligence would lead him to try and possess the titan as one final resort since his other plans didn’t work out, just to see if he could do it

Ok, this is my theory for the heart. It's not the Titan's heart. It's Belos'. It's what allowed him to survive this long, even after turning into goop. He somehow filled that thing with the Palisman magic so that he can have a reserve in case Palismans went extinct (Palistrom Wood was said to begin to be rarer by the day.) So, that's Belos' heart in a way. It started beating faster when Belos was having withdrawal from his hunger for a Palisman back in Agony of a Witch. Destroying that heart means Belos is done for. Finally.

SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE: Well at least we got a reasonable explanation, he had no idea the titan was still alive until the collector mentioned it. Belos is way dumber than he looks..

I can see both sides here, the heart was still pumping so that would heavily suggest the titan is still alive... but what would it be pumping? And where to? The rest is just a skeleton. I suppose assuming a titan has the same criteria of death as a human is stupid. Tbf he wouldve realized the heart wasnt just pumping post-mortem if he actually inspected it instead of using it as macabre decoration. Like, after years of sitting under the damn thing beating you should actually inspect the damn thing.

I have a feeling that maybe hes gonna possess the heart and take over the aisles? Because hes trying to get back to the heart in that scene, and then we later see Eda and King in a field of Belos goo... And then theres the scene of "Where do you think magic comes from?" "From the heart?" Maybe taking over the titan heart will do something to the isles. And second theory, which is admittedly shaky; Maybe the heart is destroyed to take care of Belos, and that does something to everyones magic? So thats why glyphs are used?
