They control the mainstream media. Look at the way the news channels tip toed around Biden’s issue, or Diane Feinstein. The corporate interests that buy these politicians don’t really need them to be able to make decisions. They just need them as placeholders to keep making Americans think that they live in a representative democracy.

One of her Republican colleagues in Congress said she would wander through Congress asking people where her house was. This was 6 YEARS AGO! Her staff was still getting paid while she was out of it. He went on to say not to blame her, she can't help her medical condition. Blame the staffers AND family members who told her she was OK so that they could keep collecting money as part of her staff, even though her local office had been closed for some time.

That fraud's got to be in the millions now And what of those in her district who might have wanted an opportunity to vote on someone fit, qualified to represent them in this past election. Now, that must be deferred and funds appropriated for a special, stop the fraud. That also begs the other question. If she's been in a nursing home for dementia patients for the last six months, is she on record as having voted six weeks ago? That would make for an interesting bit of "the rest of the story." Meanwhile, the civil war for the soul of America rages on. And may God bless us everyone.

Blue Cites (am a teacher) are 'graduating' (sic) Seniors who _cannot read or write enough to even take the standard exams!_ *Millennials are **#27th** in Math, heading to PERU level.* But they all say they want to 'go into management'. So Mal-educated, no work skills, semi-illiterate, not interested in learning, but they want to run Lockheed and Raytheon and General Dynamics. If the people who voted her in weren't paying attention, isn't that on them? Democracy involves more than a ballot. Many people do feel that the system doesn't work, that's how Trump wins. Kudos to you. Unfortunately, many of your peers who sold out their hippie roots, put on a suit and tie, and voted for Reagan seemingly can't quit that system; they succumbed to the One Ring, so to speak. Kind of ironic how the generation that arguably most benefited long-term from FDR's New Deal vision ended up being the ones who gradually dismantled it. 😒

The cost of living is so high. We did everything "right." Went to school, got married, etc I just want to be comfortable. The car needs a repair or new tires? Sucks but not a big deal instead of I really hope this tire lasts until we get our tax return or idk what I'm going to do. Oh the utilities were a little high because it is cold. Kyle, as a 71 year old in another country, I completely agree with you. The older generation of politicians should be nurturing and mentoring younger generations with a view to having them replace them sooner rather than later, instead of undermining them, as has been the case with AOC. When AOC first came on my radar, I marked her as one to watch, along with Jasmine Crockett. There are so many younger stars in the Democratic firmament who should be encouraged. Still love Bernie, though!
@GlutenEruption

100%. For whatever reason though, their generation has been more selfish and entitled and power and wealth hungry than any generation before or since. And not just in Congress and not just in America. They refuse to retire, step aside, pass the reins of power or control, let go of land or property or wealth, etc to younger generations everywhere - in politics, in corporate hierarchies, in the job market, in academia, in housing and land, etc etc. They have always wanted more more more and even beyond refusing to let any of it go, instead of at the very least helping the next generations achieve what they already have, they actively pull up the ladder behind them since the harder, rarer, more expensive, more exclusive their property, power, degrees, job titles are, the more valuable they become. It's as if ruthless capitalism took on human form and infected an entire generation. Of course there's plenty of good ones in that generation too but they are almost never the ones at the top or in positions where it matters unfortunately

So let's be clear, distilled, and pick the battle: this is a 1) job competency issue as it relates to mental rigor - physical accommodations can be provided to a degree that they assist and don't impede the essential function of the job, 2) a systemic cover-up issue by bodies of power at the expense of the electorate, and 3) a f*** Mitch McConnell issue because he's a terrible representative, all of which I wholeheartedly agree.

A 6 months unexplained absence not being a massive national story is an insane thing. A sitting member of Congress just disappears for half a year and NOBODY is talking about it? This should’ve had a massive investigation paired with it. We should’ve been talking about a special election to fill this seat. There’s so many things wrong with this. It’s ridiculous.

Because it's not allowed to be. One or two articles that don't get picked up by many other outlets, that even on the site they originated from have a manually reduced weight in their recommended next article algorithm, a bit of SEO to push anything but the actual important stuff to the first page. It's not even hard.

That is what happened with Diane, her Staff didn't want to give up their Gov salary!!! This needs to STOP!
