people grossly underestimate just how important the ankle articulation is on a digitigrade figure. without it, they can't compress the legs for crouching poses, extend for leaping or running poses, and in general the leg will always appear to be somewhat held back. in a normal biped, it would be as if the foot was completely unable to move, but it still had a toe hinge.

Jurassic World was the fully functioning theme park on Isla Nublar, which opened to the public in 2005. The main attractions of the park were living dinosaurs, cloned by InGen's Dr. Henry Wu. Inspired by, and built over, the original park, Jurassic World contained elements of a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park similar to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio, Busch Gardens and all of Universal Studios' locations. The park, like the aforementioned parks, also functioned as a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and even a golf course.[2] By 2015, the park hosted over 20,000 visitors each day, while its hours of operation were from 8AM until 10PM.[3]

Jurassic World is a 2015 American science fiction action film.[3] It is the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise and the first in the Jurassic World trilogy. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, alongside Derek Connolly and Trevorrow from a story by Jaffa and Silver, and produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, the film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Irrfan Khan. Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World takes place on the same fictional island of Isla Nublar, located off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. A successful theme park of cloned dinosaurs, dubbed Jurassic World, has operated on the island for years, bringing John Hammond's dream to fruition. The park plunges into chaos when a transgenic dinosaur escapes from its enclosure and goes on a rampage, while a conspiracy orchestrated by the park's staff creates more dangers. Universal Pictures intended to begin production of a fourth Jurassic Park film in 2004 for a mid-2005 release but was in development hell while the script underwent several revisions. Following a suggestion from executive producer Steven Spielberg, writers Jaffa and Silver explored the idea of a functional dinosaur park. Once Trevorrow was hired as director in 2013, he followed the same idea while developing a new script with Connolly. Filming lasted from April to August 2014 in Louisiana and Hawaii. The dinosaurs were created by Lucasfilm's Industrial Light & Magic using CGI and by Legacy Effects using life-sized animatronics. Production was completed in May 2015.[4] Jurassic World was released in the United States on June 12, 2015. It received positive reviews from critics and grossed $1.6 billion in box office revenue, reaching third among the highest-grossing films of all time. It was also the second-highest-grossing film of 2015 and the highest-grossing in the franchise. Two sequels have been released: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).

Yeah I have mixed thoughts on this one. The extra articulation is nice, maybe the paint apps too, but the fact the mainline raptors have the more accurate JP head sculpt, and smaller feet when compared to this one is just strange, especially if this line is oriented more towards collectors to begin with. I feel I'll get to it eventually, but certainly not a priority compared to the other figures from them (like the HC T. rex which I pre-ordered and recently paid for at BBTS, or the Therizinosaurus I'm still behind on). Honestly I think this line over all has been handled better then the AC definitely was. There are some issues like the big feet on the raptor and T. rex, swollen head of the Parasaurolophus, limited jaw articulation on the T. rex, and a Triceratops with no jaw articulation, and a "JP" Gallimimus based on the JW viral website design, but overall they've at least had better species diversity right from the start. Hopefully they see and take note of the criticisms and improve from here. The main crux for me is that it is all in scale with the mainline as well, and it gives me hope we'll get a more film accurate buck from TLW (compared to the 2019 Legacy Extreme Chomping repaint), or Spinosaurus. They did a great job with the SWS likeness for both the Triceratops and T. rex at least, and no doubt the Dilophosaurus coming later (since the Amber one was close, but just didn't quite get the pattern on the back right, but that's hardly a big deal). I also hope they'll do the JPIII raptors (especially the male which still is missing in the mainline scale). I also agree the packing is very nice, but I do wish the viewing window on the larger dinosaurs was slightly bigger, although that may have been done to cut down on plastic material too.
