Hi Randy! And just another great video from my favorite Nat'l Park KZbinr. Although I have only been to the White Mountains once in the Autumn, I must say you captured it's essence! I have been invited to the Vegas area for the Thanksgiving week & will finally get a chance to go to Death Valley (& perhaps Red Rock Canyon). As I will probably be doing Death Valley on a one day excursion, any input would be appreciated. Thanks, as per usual.
@AmericasParks2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate the encouraging words, Robert! Have a great time in Death Valley - under-appreciated for its unique natural beauty. Hit as many of the stops noted on the park brochure. One day should be enough. Don't miss badwater basin. Try to catch a sunset from one of the higher viewpoints. Not sure if you caught my video from 2017 - all these places are highlighted. kzbin.info/www/bejne/poeWnnmBh5Wjfpo

How do you avoid wild animal encounters?
@AmericasParks2 жыл бұрын
For starters, I try to be aware of the possible risks. In most cases the only potential dangers are grizzly bears and big cats. In the few places where these bears roam, bear spray is a wise idea. As for the cats, encounters are very rare, especially when traveling in groups.
