I agree these cooler temps feel nice. That video was made about 10 days ago before the cool down . To see no rain for 10 more days is still disheartening . Yet south of us people suffer from rain damage. Those Japanese anemones are so lovely to see and cut.

@@gardeningonthewestforkwith8994 yes I feel for those affected by the terrible storms 😢 we don’t have rain in the forecast either and it’s almost been a couple of weeks without rain - I’m back to watering my trees and shrubs that I had planted in the spring 🤷‍♀️. I have a 2 new beautiful redbuds - flamethrower in the front and forest pansy in the back, 2 new rosy teacups dogwoods, some abelias and weigelas, tiny 1 g moonrise Japanese maple and a cute Mikawa Yatsubusa - it’s hard to stop planting (collecting) 🤪

Hello Theresa and Reg Your newly planted bed looks beautiful. I am eager to see it come spring. Best to let the arborist decide on your large yews. I reckon the deep roots will be hardest to remove. Once you see the space who knows what beauties you'll put in their place. The anemone is a slow grower for me. People say that it's invasive, but I've never found it so. Thank you for letting us in on your plans. I've learned so much and snagged a few of your ideas❤❤

@@77sun222 yes the tree will be assessed next week I hope. I’ve never found this anemone aggressive I wish it would show a couple new babies to transplant. Been in the garden all day cutting back pulling out dividing and planting today as busy as spring can be😏. But the next season can come quickly if I don’t get moving ☺️

@@Cynthia-zz1vi thanks Cynthia moisture makes such difference but shoot looks like beautiful weather ahead yet dry. Are you planting anything now? I was given several starts of some new hosta varieties and I won’t say no😉😏so today as I’m cutting off old hosta I’m planting more and dug several of mine to give to another friend . So fun passing forward. Trying to clean up garden little by little because weather will continue to change and it happens do very quickly. Have a great weekend.

Boy it has been a summer like no other! Heat, drought, the crazy European Hornet nest in my shed, followed by ants and yellowjackets! Hoping we get just a little more pleasant weather before winter comes!

@@rachelshepherd8099 Rachel too much excitement. I agree this little break was nice yet so dry I watered new plantings and all the gardens today . Had a friend staying with us a few days due to Milton she evacuated from Sarasota Fortunatly no major damage to her home . Roof tiles missing and uprooted trees. Yet so many not as fortunate. We are here praying for rain. Mother Nature just is a bit messed up this summer. Three stings here from yellow jackets darn they are annoying . I’m sure , like me , your list is long to prep for winter. Little by little right?? Get out this week and let’s get cutting back 💃🏻
