For something that costs 30$, has books made, and merch-I'm astonished at how anti-climactic this game is. I feel like releasing all those betas gave their audience so much hype for the final launch so they were kinda pressured and rushed into finishing it, which in turn made the final product what it is. I honestly didn't expect it to be so confusing, have bad level design etc. The story behind it is kinda intriguing but the execution of it hurts my brain. >-> I wish they went back and did a major ass tweak to this game.

I have a theory about this okay, so: The neighbor's wife was involved in a fatal car accident that leads back, in some way, shape, or form, to the son. For example: Wife was picking up son from school because son missed the bus and wife dies, though the son lives. The neighbor blames the son for the wife's death and locks him away in a basement where he (the neighbor) lives out his fantasy that everything is okay. Then, his son dies because of the poor treatment, and the neighbor goes mad, hallucinating that his son is back to haunt him forever. It matches up to the flash of him going into the kid's room. Also, in the beginning, the neighbor hallucinates that his wife is there with him, encouraging him to hurt his son. Then after the son is killed, the neighbor "locks" his "wife" away in the basement. In a nonsensical way, it makes sense.
