We have had two good days of rain in the last 7 days so we are putting some fertiliser to try and make this grass from. Looks like rain on the day after aswel finger crossed

You're Dad was right.....see. Love how the cows thought it feeding time, soon learned eh! Intro for you. Hover the drone in front then fly fast up and away. Reverse the footage. Safer to do it this way, saves hitting yourself with the drone lol. Been wanting to do that for ages, but not seen my mate with his drone.

Had the same spreader. Upgraded a few years ago for a Rauch which is basicly a Kuhn. No rain here, and nothing in the forcast for the coming 2 weeks.

We are still suffering in bath we haven't had rain since May our maize crop is horrendous and we barley have a second cut let alone not having a 3rd cut. This will be a interesting winter

How long until the water damaged areas recover? I hope by Spring? Good deal getting some rain, our forcast says rain by the end of the week, but if we get half hour of sprinkles I'd be surprised.

Great job! Tom how do ye manage grazing the grass in silage fields? Do ye use elec reels, set stock with heifers or use exclusively for silage. They big fields!

Bambinohead1 a few were silage fields, and I use a electric fence when the weather is good and grass is growing

Fair play Tom. No rain at all in the old Emerald Isle. What’s going to happen for fodder for winter. I ve done 2nd cut. Half the usual crop. Bought 25 acres whole crop lucky to get it. Never fed it before. Any tips Tom.

John Coughlan don't try and feed it to j it's own, mix it with silage. And you whave not need straw in the mix as wel 👌

Still no rain for me. The rain clouds broke round me and drenched every where but my fields 😕😣. Only good thing is, there on clay so the top is baked but 3 inch down its damp.

Probably a stupid question but don't the fertiliser affect the cows when thay eat the grass that just had fertiliser put down on it before it desovles in the ground.

The cows thought they was going to get feed wow look at them run.We nudge gates open with tractors all the time . Mostly your father is stuck in office doing paper work or on phone. But when it comes to spreading fertilizer on fields your father is right their . It gets him out of the office for awhile. Look at him go doing real good to hardly any tractor tires.

i have never known anyone call it till sowing its in the UK every farmer and non farmer i know calls it tillage or fert spreading. also i am surprised to see you spreading it with your cattle in the field. when ever we spread nitrogen in a field that animals graze if we can't shift them to another field we keep them in for a day so the fert gets in the ground cos it can harm them if they accidentally eat it
