Personally, I disagree. The beauty in spire, to me, is learning to miss out on great opportunities and still capitalize on something else that works. To each their own though.

@kid3993 Jokers can appear more than once during a run, unlike Relics - and you can get extra money in the shop by selling other cards if you find something you *really* need.

Thinking SpellRogue is more your taste for newer games, Jorbs. I really want to hear your commentary on how it basically cut-n-pasted from StS but added dice. The final boss is very familiar.

SpellRogue is very cool, but it lacks some elements of the StS genre of roguelikes. Once you understand the builds within the game, you're usually fully set halfway through the second "act" of the game. The rest can feel a bit like a slog. Sure, you'll find some crystal thingies to upgrade the rest of your spells, but the road to the final boss and the final boss itself don't pose a whole lot of a threat, I feel. Recently played all the difficulties levels, not a single loss right now, think I'm done with the game. It sounds weird, but I would have loved to lose one game. Don't get me wrong, I had quite a lot of fun with the game, and do not regret buying it at all, but I dunno if it hits the Jorbs criteria. Gotta tell you though, it does look very awesome, especially considering it was basically done by 2 people I believe? Impressive for sure.

@@Jorbs yeah! Seems unlikely based on past comments. Still, divvyCr's previewer is great for my own use. The anti previewer side seems very certain it doesn't help yet has never tried to use it... A strange position to take when trying is so cheap. Anyways I find it super great to play with and it makes the game go a lot faster
