I'm fairly sure you played this mission incorrectly. I believe you shouldn't be able to attack tiles 1-B and 6-B from the starting tile 15-D or place shadows on there for you to teleport there, because "All hexes on tile 15-D are treated as in range of any ranged abilities performed on tiles 1-B and 6B" does not imply the inverse. I imagine those tiles are supposed to be higher up so attacking down is possible, but attacking up isn't. I don't think it really changed the outcome though, Mukduk could've 1v1d the Chaos Demon and with the poison from Vile Assault the end-of-round healing would've been irrelevant

that sounds like a more sensible reading, yeah. narratively and rules-wise. i agree that the mission would not have gone worse, i think the best cheese-strat would have been to move the deathwalker up to the balcony, then use shadows to move the rest of the team up, and then farm the spawns below for a while.

Fun fact, in Southeast Asia, it’s common for washing machine to be outside since we dont have snow. They are also under some shade similar to what depict in the game 😊

To be honest, soundtrack of the whole game (map, combat, credits) is the highlight for me. And card fusion is something I've never seen before. I wonder how replayable it is though.

Dunno why jorbs had to make the beekeeper about the older woman being black. It's not presumed she falls for the scam "because she's black" it's cause she's old. Old people get scammed a lot. The film is shit though, but god imagine viewing the world through the lens of race permanently.

Yeah you missed the final loot pouch at 2:01:51, and had your Banner Spear path through the loot filled room to leave. It doesn't _really_ matter, because there was an alternate path through a different shadow that would have skipped it. It's just wonderfully poetic that after an entire hour of standing in the door and tempting fate, she trips on a log on the way out.

yeah, my ultimate thought on this is that it's fine to do takebacks if nothing has happened which would change your play yet, and so it's fine to just retcon that she walked the better way because obviously that's what she would have done if i were paying attention, and nothing has happened since that could change that decision.

it's only a retaliate for two damage, so the skeleton survives.

Wouldn't the Ravager combat goal be completed by having the drifter use the double buffs on turn 1, since they both have lost icons even though they're also continuous? Also with all the distinction we've made about round vs turn, Achilles shouldn't have gotten Overachiever when Zenia moved them through the door on their own turn, right?

oh. fascinating. i did actually know the rule that persistent cards with lost icons count as lost when played, but it makes so little sense to me that i didn't realize it'd apply here xD. what is "ravaging" about standing still and strengthening yourself for a turn. re: overachiever, you are also correct, i was misunderstanding it to be in the same "round", not "turn".

Just in case you didn't know, the loss persistent distinction is important because players may dismiss persistent effects on their turn, so a boneshaper can dismiss a out of position skeleton on their long rest to get the card back to discard then hand but if bannerspear had unbreakable wall bottom in play and wanted to drop it for a extra range during their turn the card would go to the lost pile not discard.

Also perhaps the skeleton loot at the end didn't happen because the hounds have retaliate? Or did I misunderstand that mechanic. Playing four characters at once is a superhuman feat btw, I expected nothing less of jorbs though.

probably correct about the shadow, i miss those every now and then. the wolves only retaliate for two, so skeletons will survive one retaliate.

Loving the frosthaven. Never got to finish the gloomhavwn campaign, and this seems like a really interesting contuation from that.

it's a great sequel to gloomhaven. same world, and you can even play with gloomhaven's characters if you liked them and want more of them, but completely standalone story and enough new stuff to be an entire game on its own.

Quick rules question, on round one the snow imps chanel an element, since there are 5 of then would that not chanel 5 elements?

No, thankfully. Element channelling and consuming from monsters happens on a one-for-all basis. All monsters of a type will collectively channel or consume their listed elements to apply to all monsters. In this case, all of the Snow Imps collectively channel one element of the player's choice. Hope this helps!

I’ve only played Jaws of the Lion and it does not have a meta progression in the same way that Frosthaven does. This was really interesting to watch. I’m excited to see the first character retirement and the first new character get built out.

Not sure if you plan on continuing to include outpost phases, but if it fits into the series I personally think the thought processes around level up card choices and per-scenario card swaps would be interesting to include. I have played through 2- and 3-character campaigns now, so it is fun to hear the different perspective you get with a party of 4.
