It’s game over for my first project car

In a previous episode I took my Fiat Punto HGT for its first mot in my ownership, it failed in style. Missing warning lights and a lot of rust, in todays episode I am going to see if I can fix those issues and get the rust checked out. Can I fix this car and get it back on the road? Or will the rust prove terminal?

3k would get you another punto hgt with change I bet. It's alot to spend but you've already put alot of time and effort into it haven't you that's the thing

It was one of the very few channels with Punto hgt content.. very sad, this model deserve more intrest

I agree..Going to spend a lot of money on Mine. Full restoration and mods and not going to spare a penny! Am posting progress on youtube and could use advice in the near future as these are new to me

Sell it to Italia Autos and let's see this little rocket restored. Or restore it by yourself, but DON'T SCRAP it. Just don't do it.

@@Project40Cars Re-shell it. Find a normal 188 Fiat Punto and re-shell it. Can't be too hard.

If you look for alternate Punto project vehicle, you might check out Ford Fiesta Mk6 which is 2004-2008, it’s proper fun small car that feels go kart likes.

Same thing happened to my yellow Punto HGT. Rust killed it. Owned it for 13 years and put 116K on it. Engine was as strong as an ox at almost 159K. Pity, it was a great car ☹️

@@Project40Cars I got a 2003 MINI Cooper R50 with just 58K on the clock. Bought it almost 5 years ago for £1100. Recommend one, mine has been fun, reliable and not too expensive to run. The suspension components were are bit worn out and needed to be replaced but wasn’t too expensive.
