Hey Dusty I wanted to send treats for Eleanor so when I heard that the guy the video you did called them Alfalfa cubes I called your local feed store an ordered 10 50 pound bags for you the other day. I think the owner Steve is planning to drop them off to your farm. He told me these cubes could be eaten by the bison as well so that's what I ordered. I hope that the alfalfa cubes are ok. It would be great if you could post a link to the cubes that you usually get for Eleanor and the next time I order some treats for Eleanor I can order those treats so I know for sure that's the kind to order. Sorry. I do hope though she likes the ones I ended up ordering. Thanks.

There no place like home. I had to leave mine in 1992 in CT but my new home is western southern NY State and I'll never leave it unless my kids listen to my advice and move to a less regulated state and become self sustaining. I pray for this always. I'm 63 today and yearn for this but not financially or physically able to do it alone or I would have been 4 years ago. I want to be close to my Grandchildren!! I love that you are keeping the American Bison alive and growing the herds. You are a truly patriotic gem, Dusty!!

@nancylowery45042 жыл бұрын
He has them slaughtered!.why does he name them????
@deborahgilliland18042 жыл бұрын
@@nancylowery4504 not all are harvested. As he has said the two main herds will remain intact on the ranches. Just because a farmer/rancher raises livestock of some sort to be butchered for meat whether to feed their family or to be sold, doesn't mean they don't love those animals and want them to have the best life they can have while alive. Naming them makes it a little more personal but the animals know they are cared for which in turn keeps them happy and calm until harves time. Calmer animals means better meat.

Hey, Dusty. Have you ever thought about having tours at Cross Timbers? You could charge a fee and only have them part of the time. If I can find where my uncle got our cube dispenser I will send you one to try out. It's about the size of a 4 gallon trash can that you can attach just about anywhere on any vehicle I have uses it even on a 3-wheeler. It holds cubes or feed or whatever you put in it and it gas a cable that pulls a slider open on the bottom and there is a really touch spring that pulls it closed when you relax the pull on the cable. You can put it on the side or back of a vehicle and drive along pulling and letting go to have it drop what is in there either in a line as you drive or pull it open to dumb a pile when you stop. It's lasted us 10 years now and taken a beating from head and horn bumps and steers in a hurry to be fed some treats. I hope they still make them as they are great to have.

🤗🤗🤗. NOW that’s quite a welcome home seeing all the main herd running across the pasture to ya even if it was only for their treats. Wonder if Eleanor waited at the fence for you while ya on vacation. Know ya busy making sure everything is ready for your own roundup and working all of your Bison but sure be a cool thing to see short clips of more of the Custer roundup and what else ya saw on vacation. Sure there’s a lot on the cutting room floor that would be interesting to share. And also if ya plan to do the roundup again on a yearly basis. What ya caught on film was a lot better than the live stream they featured especially at the gate waiting for the herd to begin moving. Not a fan of the “production” the park puts on for the crowd and wonder how ya felt about it as well. Also blown away with the scenes ya shared on the actual checking of each Bison. Quite an investment for safety and wonder if ya going to try and improve your own equipment especially more bars on the top so they can’t rear up so easily. You’ve come so far in such a short time and now your videos are recommended right at the top of the list for watching and learning. Quite an accomplishment for an Okie I’d say now if only ya can get those storm clouds to dump that liquid gold for better pastureland. Like to know about your search for more hay to help ya out cus sure been costly for everyone. Looks like MO and Nebraska has the best prices and no problems for delivery either. Golly cus of your own passion for the Bison I’m beginning to feel it as well just to see the comeback of beautiful creatures like these Bison. So thanks for sharing with all of us 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
