This is the first Temptations song that I learned word for word when it came out as I was 5 years old. I remember my parents playing My Girl and I liked it but I didn’t have no girl in Kindergarten. But I had been taught how to fish by my next door neighbor so I knew about a reel being broken. I would later learn about the growing untruth. This song is underrated and in my personal Top Five Temptation songs of all time. 👌

Dennis, I seem to recall a background story regarding that kiddie piano intro. I believe it was Smokey's idea but I'm not sure.
