This was the moment To Your Eternity was building up since the first time we saw March’s soul back in s1,it is so odd seeing this show have a mostly positive ending after all these arcs of suffering but Fushi deserves it. The bear also being brought back was quite funny,he is like the huge doggo of the crew now,I wish the they at least removed the spikes stuck on him because that must still hurt a lot on him.

Up until now, Fushi had always fought to bring the memories of his friends back because of the Nokkers and believed that since they all died, that they all passed on to the other side. Now after inheriting Bon’s body, he can actually see the ones that stayed by his side all these years and are back and are willing to still fight for him?! This episode made me so emotional lol.

This is not a drill, Fushi called March by Mama ! The real moment we were waiting for ! Also Brother Bon's life was basically a cheat code to Fushi lol nice gamble dude. Even with the return of almost everyone its awesome how you don't feel like their pain or previous death meant nothing. As always the author knows where he/she goes.

hopefully we will get season 3 ( the show's twitter account shared a tweet where someone (maybe a staff memeber, i cant confirm) said to pay attention and watch till the end next week's episode, so who knows maybe they will do an announcement the same way they did at the end of S1 ). P.S. I am most glad that Tonari is back. Also, Gugu after seeing that Fushi could fix bodies probably thought to himself 'damn, should have asked Fushi to fix my face'. (although Fushi met Gugu after his face got crushed, so he has no memory of his normal face as he never saw it)

I wouldn't be shocked if they immediately confirm s3. they had a quick turn around from 1-2 and the material is there and typically production committees don't fund back to back 2 cours unless it's doing well for them. I could easily see season 3 summer next year!

Yeesh, while Fushi was having a fantastic heartwarming reunion, that nokker was dragging poor Ekko through the mud majority of the episode. I have to agree, that Kahaku goodbye scene was my favorite part of the episode.

This whole season each and every episode keeps topping one another. Kind like Blue Lock. But this moment was really precious and great and hit the feels and was satisfying to see all of those who stuck around to be brought back. Its hard to even put to words. The author really makes thins unexpected and unpredictable. Its not even 10/10 its 11/10

Bon had a great character arc during this season, he goes from a unlikable character to one who has been humbled and a much wiser person, you can see he has potential to be a great leader, but for the longest time he was selfish and stuck up until he was forced to pretty much confront his own actions and see the truth, he was not truly fit to be king and as such he changed, he adopted a boy in a sense to be his son, he found out someone who was his attentant was actually a girl and was in love with him and he had a crush on her for the longest time, thou he didn't see the reailty until much later, after spending time locked in that cage and pretty much given the chance to actually think about his life in general

The moment when Fushi saw the others was when tears came out of my eyes. After those two depressed episodes, we finally got the come back. I would have been against everyone being brought back, but this helps Fushi because dude needed hope. Kohaku walking away was the best choice, and Fushi not killing him show Kohaku was someone to Fushi. With one episode left, it makes me wonder how season two will conclude. Glad to see things go for the better this time around, and can't wait for next week.

Honestly I’m just glad we got my girl Perona back. She’s been my favorite character since her debute. Overall though this has been the most exciting episode thus far and probably my favorite one to. This show is definitely worthy of anyone’s top 10 list is even top 5!

I think the dilemma of who to bring back is kinda solved since we know thanks to Bon that souls can choose to wander earth or live in a heaven like realm so likely a lot of the people Fushi turns into just can’t come back since they chose to live in heaven instead of following Fushi which considering the people that stayed makes sense they’re people who really loved and cared about Fushi while having their lives cut short. My guess is next episode might have them try to figure out why people like Parona, Booze Man, Pioran, Rean, and others can’t be revived and seeing how that affects Fushi…also just realized with that Nokker still alive Fushi probably will never get the memories of a lot of those people. Especially his first friend :(

that final scene in the previews makes this episode bitter sweet. Fushi and gang won, but at what cost to Fushi's future. the OP shows fushi covering the world but will his mental state be able to maintain it. even if this doesn't get a season 3, i'm content with this series overall and. the ups and downs, the victories and defeats were well worth the watch.

Amazing review as always. You really broke down why we love this show. The writing isn't like anything we've seen and it's very original. In a world of clichés, reboots, and sequels it is refreshing to get a truly original work of art. From a writing standpoint it is just top tier. So many moral questions and dilemmas brought forth. From a consumer standpoint the show asks deep questions of the audience and trusts us enough to not draw conclusions for us about morality and what is truly right. There is a lot of gray area which I love. From a personal standpoint, my mom passed a few months ago and this show has been comforting along with the breakdowns by Brandon. 10/10 Anime and top 3 shows in general for me.

Absolutely loved this episode. Said it before and I’ll say it again this series is so unique to me in terms of how it makes me feel, no other show can replicate that. The payoff with Fushi getting these friends back is so rewarding and like you touched upon with the revival it doesn’t feel cheap at all. Seeing Gugu back almost got me emotional lmao. Can’t wait to see where this series continues to go

The revival this episode, makes the suffering for the past two weeks worth it. I wonder how he'll get the resto of his forms back, since the nokker that took them, seemingly got away. I'm excited as hell to see how this season ends!

I had the biggest smile on my face watching this episode of To Your Etrernity. Seeing so many of our favorite characters from S1 come back was great. And seeing them into action, particualarly Gugu burning so many of those Nokkers was ver satisfying. Seeing the big group hug w/ essentially Fushi's family was so heartwarming to see. It's amazing how this series can have you either suspecting of character one minute and throughout the season have you grow to love them the next; that's how I felt towards Bon. This has been an incredible season and all I need for its eventual season finale, is a confirmation for a S3.

He lost the boys form and a few others as well that left with Kahaku. At least he recovered a few good ones for combat from the other knockers. And somehow they now established he has a handfull he can't even lose due to their spirits staying with him, unless he loses Bon. Great finale for a great season which has a whole other vibe to it then season 1.

I feel this episode plays with my mind. I'm so glad all of Fushi's friends are revived, but as he said, it begs the question of him playing god. it makes me wish resurrection was possible in real life for those who got their lives cut short

Wholeheartedly agree about this being a top 5 contender, and I agree with your reasoning too. I genuinely look forward to a new episode every week which I can't say the same for other shows, and there has not been an episode yet that has been more lackluster than any other. Truly the consistency is one of the qualities that make it top 5.

Amazing episode, even after reading the manga I’m pretty sure some of the scenes never happened in the chapters unless I was crying through half of them. But if I’m correct I’m glad they showed more,made everything more impactful ❤️

Kahaku is such an unfortunate character in this show, everyone seems to hate him and i can understand that because i too hate him the first time i read the manga. But after whatching this episode and watching a youtube video explaining how unfortunate kahaku is, i kinda feel bad for him.

Happy but scared I mean that Ekko thing was freaky If Mr. Crazy wasn’t there to interfere idk if anyone would have made if before she was essentially possession kidnapped? And who knows what arm nokker would have done to her if it succeed in its escape The whole face off thing was quite freaky and idk if Kahaku is serious or talking out of his ass about keeping his line alive, I suppose it’s implied in his letter but sh*t already hit the fan once…? Can’t history repeat itself in a similar situation? It’s a bit ironic that nokkers want to live while simultaneously wanting to end humanity because they think it ends their suffering or whatever lol We know TYE/FnAe can be beautiful and wholesome at times but it can also be PAIN and throw curveballs so whenever we get nice happy scenes I’m always kinda bracing for the next potential problem because you just never know when sh*t hits the fan in this series

It was very optimistic in a show full of sadness and death. Now we see how OP Bon truly is where they can even revive his brother. Can’t wait for another season and a complete adaptation. I think the story does balance well the sadness. It’s like assuming Madoka Magica or Higurashi is only depression when it isn’t. Clear to see it will be end of an era

He cant. Only souls that chose to stay after death can. He passed on and we see all the souls that stayed with him they have all come back minus Bon. In this episode the reinforce that when its said you go to paradise or stay behind. Characters like Rean and Boy moved on which is why their souls have never been there.

There’s a lot of content. The bear didn’t move on. Also it looks like Fushi could consider March a mother or he’s saying March. I’m sure Bon comes back since Nameless Boy will be his actual form. It’s good to see your passion isn’t changing and it’s definitely a bit hard to talk about the series sometimes unfortunately. I also think the series tackled A LOT of concepts and philosophies too in one series and will continue to do so. And I bet the anime does compel some people to read it and vice versa

My only gripes with the episode, which are my own personal woes and no fault of the show itself, are that: 1. Parona went to Paradise and won't get to see March again :( 2. The white-haired boy is seemingly going to be absent from the story (for now) which is a bummer because that's obviously the form I most directly associate with Fushi.

Kahaku will most likely die next episode given the knocker in his arm has a few of his forms left least that's my assumption. if not maybe a time skip where that knocker dies in season 3 regaining the form but if a new form has to be his default Bon's is the way to go imo

This season hasn’t been perfect imo, lots of pacing issues, exposition through narration and some weak characters. But it’s an interesting switch up from season 1 which I think is still better than season 2. The themes are still very solid tho. Definitely the best part of this season.
