I've noticed in all of his interviews, Matty lives in a dazy kind of "let's get this over with" reality, but when he has to think and ponder, it takes a second, but he works his brain into very philosophical places that are astounding. He's just that intelligent. You can tell ordinary life bores him.

Camilo Karlsson sometimes?? The fella cudnt be more self obsessed...not hating, i find his level of self aggrandisement extremely entertaining, his name dropping is bested only by noel gallagher, but his pc virtue signalling is his usp, he’s truly world class at that, he’s out on his own there, add in his complete lack of self awareness and the fact he talks like his ‘art’ is at the level of lord Byron yet his music is aimed at 12 yr old girls and we have absolute comedy gold, everything the modern pop star has to be, he’s cleaning up, i like him
@briannahall16155 жыл бұрын
He literally tries to put down the compliments that she gives him. Literally doesn’t try to inflate himself but you have to understand what he means when he says that they are the greatest band right now. Think of bands nowadays? They aren’t as big. They aren’t as famous. There are not other bands. He isn’t saying they are the greatest ARTIST OR ACT. band. Know the difference and get off your high horse
@VEIL.UNKNOWN5 жыл бұрын
@@briannahall1615 Like i said, i LOVE Matty, and i love the 1975 okey? so dont speak to me like that. There are huge bands nowadays, I knew the difference and even though i knew the difference, i said what i said. Its okey too be self obsessed if it doesnt hurt anyone else and if you dont talk shit about other people, which he mostly doesnt, im just pointing something out, have a good day fellow 1975 fan

i think its because each one of them genuinely is their number one fan, and i think that's important. with the kind of music they make and at the level that they make it at, it's soo important that they love what they do and are proud of what they do and u can definitely tell that they are. I honestly just think he's REALLY proud. and i also think his big head is sometimes a gag, like he puts on an act of acting like hes the shit simply for the grandeur of it as well as him being able to show that he is proud of everything they've done. I used to kinda get a little annoyed with how egotistical he was about their work, but now i realize that he means it as a statement of how proud he is and how much he loves what they put out and less about putting other people down. Cuz i dont think its "ya we are the best and everyone else sucks" but rather "im really proud of what we've done and in my own opinion we are making the best music". because just like other consumers of music, u have your favorites and that doesnt necessarily mean ur shitting on everyone else, just that person or band's music resonates at the highest level with u, and with him the music that resonates at the highest level is his own music. I do think he is self-obsessed but on a micro level and in a very personal level with their music, but is very humble on the macro level because he gets that them being recognized for their work is not what they went out to do. He's self-obsessed with his art, but not self-obsessed with his place/standing in the world of music. That literally probably made no sense, but i felt like I would share how i feel about that.

Mr Shen nah the 1975 is lyrically and vocally better than foals. Foals aren’t that good. The industry could do just fine without the band
@mrshen45045 жыл бұрын
@@natechenry you could say the same for the 1975 tho, as they haven't done anything particularly groundbreaking except make some catchy pop songs, not saying foals have done anything groundbreaking either but I prefer foals lyrically because it feels more ambiguous where as the 1975 is more straight forward and ( in my opinion) pretentious.
