This is god damn amazing. It blows my damn mind that out of nowhere, kids' shows were men in tights doing karate in the desert to thrash-metal. For about 10 years. Then they stopped. I have the loosest understanding of how MMPR came about, so I hope you guys go into ALL THE DETAILS! Kamen Rider turned into "Masked Rider" on Fox Kids, and through this stuff you can even see where the live-action Batman series came from! Hope this documentary goes well for you guys!

Fun Fact,The 1970s Skullman hasnt had a official released only fan translations. How ever in 1998 to 2001 before the death of Inshinmori teamed up with Kazuhiko Shimamoto and it was a reboot. That series was translated by Tokyo Pop where there is Camos of classic heros like Cyborg 009 ( the character),Kamen Rider Itchigo, Henshin Ninja Arashi (A less known creation),Gorenger,Kikaider and Inzuman just to name a few

Robocon was never dubbed it was only shown in Hawaii with subtitles on KIKU-13, I know....I watched it as a kid. A few English packaged merchandise was released hence the book you have seen. Also the English Hawaiian dub of Ultra Seven was done by Tsuburaya themselves. They would hire local talent and college students to produce that Ultra Seven dub.

Sometime in the early to mid 2000s, I remember seeing a short Android Kikaider anime on Adult Swim. It was only a few episodes long, but I remember loving it's dark and serious tone juxtaposed with a very cartoonish art style. I would love to see that show again. I wonder if its ever had any modern DVD releases.

A doc on PR & Sentai? Cool idea. Just make sure please you mention about STAR RANGERS & LUCKY ACES , the 1st 2 English Dub attempts that got Sentai on US TV. Hopefully more of this will be found along with the Asian English Dubs of JETMAN, FLASHMAN, TURBORANGER etc. Anyone else out there looking for KAMEN RIDER or CYBERCOP English Dubs? Its not Sentai but similar. I'll share freely. Check out INAZUMAN English Pilot too. Asians should be shown Equality by USTV Networks & not completely replaced.
