Having suffered with welt belt issues with the wife’s focus and lack of support by Ford, despite my love of my VW camper I just can’t and won’t have anything to do with Ford again. It’s a no for me purely due to the Ford connection.

@ I got one of the last 6.1’s in Fortana red and then got Van Haven to build a swamper for me. As soon as I saw the new Transit in the flesh and knowing the wet belt was being carried over it was a no-brainer. Let’s see what the conversion companies can do with this new thing, I didn’t like the 6.1 at first.

Sounds great what you did. I think it will grow on people, especially when some companies get their hands on it with styling. I think the Caravelle (blue one pictured) looks better

That's all well and good with the servicing, warranty and price but the wet belt???? The looks have gone... not a Transporter anymore, it's evolved into just another van. I'll be replacing my T6 with newer T6's for as long as they're available if this new model is the way VW are heading

They say if serviced correctly it’s fine. Will be interesting to see what the other drivetrains will be like. It’s not going to be long before new diesel vans will be gone. T6.1’s I personally love.

This is inaccurate. You can get the commerce plus version in a TDI with 4motion.

@@StaycationLifestyle Ok. You said you can't get the Diesel in 4motion. Which is inaccurate. But I'm not trying to hate on you. I am a fan. Just letting people know. I'd forgo the extra spec on the Pro for the 4motion personally.

@@StaycationLifestyle Yes true. There is no logical reason in my mind why they would do it. Other than the tax incentives they get on hybrids and electric. Save 4motion for the hybrid and they get more money for each sale. But would be great if you could find out some how, maybe there is a valid reason.
