It's hot on the Camino de Santiago

We were walking August 2022 from Le Puy and yes, mid August was sooo hot. I had a handless hiking umbrella on our walk and it helped keep me in the shade. We walked short distances, about 15 km a day, and we are slow walkers. Keep inspiring.

In Finesterre,… cool here only in 20s,… but yes in the Mesetta I started walking in the dark every day,… by noon it was getting hot

I’m currently on the Norte just before Bilbao and it’s quite busy.

@@ER-im7md seems like the Norte is a summertime Camino. That would be the best time to do it. The weather's a little cooler than it is on the Camino Frances. I'm guessing the weather's pretty nice.

@@cweb1234 Just some generic ones I got in Burgos last year. I lost my other ones somewhere between Viana and Logroño. I think I got these at a shop next to the cathedral.
