This video contain spoilers of Metro Exodus and it's DLC's.
Metro Exodus is one of the best games I've ever played and it's much more than just a game. This is a long story full of heartbreaking moments. And I think that games are the same part of our lives like books and films.
And as always, I hope you will enjoy this video.
Software: Sony Vegas Pro 16
Song: The Irrepressibles - In This Shirt

When Miller took a moment to sit down next to colonel Khlebnikov's body and spoke openly about his feelings and regrets at the end of the two colonels. That hit pretty hard. Especially knowing he will later sacrifice himself to save Artyom. It's sad, though, that he had all of these things he needed to say to the people he loved but, because he viewed emotion and vulnerability as a weakness, the only person he felt comfortable opening up to was a dead one.

Long comment incoming! (edit: typos) Metro Exodus has become my most favorite game of all time. Firstly if anyone is thinking of playing it for the first time or replaying it, switch the audio language to Russian or Ukrainian, It enhances the atmosphere and immersion 10-fold. The game is absolutely phenomenal and I wish I could play it for the first time again. It was back during the pandemic lockdown and it hit extra hard. The world, the story, the characters and the adventure, everything just inspired so much emotion. I sadly got the bad ending on my first playthrough and I won't lie, I cried like an absolute bitch. No fictional piece of media has ever made me do that before. I usually don't get attached to video game characters or really get fully immersed into games, but boy oh boy did Exodus change that. Not even the Witcher made me feel that connected to the characters and game world. Whenever I leave the game for awhile and come back to it, it always manages to inspire me all over again. Absolute magic The books and the games are a story of determination to find hope in a world where the odds are stacked against you. Even the dev team at 4A who made these games had to go through some serious challenges to make things happen. Their studio was without power and heat many times and was nearly shelled by the rebels during the development of Last Light and a good portion of Exodus because of the previous civil war in Ukraine. Its a miracle the game even happened. And I'm so glad it did. Artyom found lake Baikal where he can raise a family free from darkness and radiation of the Metro, the folks at 4A Games found Malta where they can make games without fear of sudden death. Life imitates art and I hope I too can one day find my "Lake Baikal". Keep fighting the good fight, fellow Spartans! Whatever your battle is. "If not us, then who?"

I don't even know how much I would pay or what I can do to go back in time and restart the game totaly blind about the story, seriously when I played the first 2 chapters long ago on ps3 when I was a child I couldn't never expect such an incredible ending of the saga. Is such a shame to see (in my country at least) so many big content creators which don't give a chance to this big game just because is not a conventional fps which give them the numbers, gaming should be seen as a form of art from professional people of this field imo. Grats for all the 4A games devs for the revolution they've bring to us in the last decade.

I belive that Miller's death was the moment was the moment when all men cried And ending of the Two Colonels made them cry again. For sure made me cry like I was watching Green Mile again.

This wasn't a game. It was a Story. Two Colonels that died trying to save their sons. They both made the Ultimate Sacrifice, Death... A Duty that all Soldiers are willing to do if they get to see their family, friends survive..

Metro Exodus was the sadest game id ever played. The pure emotion compared to action from the other 2 games , was enough to make even a grown man cry. The Characters truely felt , Alive , rather than just Husks traped in the metro.

People just don’t understand the feeling you get when playing these games. They think it’s stupid when you feel for a fictional character but it feels like you have known that character for you’re whole life and when the game ends you just don’t know what to do.

JIC you missed it, at 3:20 Miller used his own anti-rad for Artyom. He even did not get the chance to say goodbye to his daughter.

God when Artyom shakes Miller's shoulder I just couldn't take it bro I broke down and cried like a child this series genuinely made me care so much for these characters that I couldn't take seeing what not only was the key father figure to Artyom but also his wife's father die like that. I am so happy I was able to get the good ending first try when I played this and got to see the cutscene. Great job with this GMV brought those emotions right back to me lol, you picked great moments from the game

Oh my god... I love this game. I've been through it for a long time, but I still remember the names of the characters. This video, like the game, knocks me to tears. Oh, Melnik, Khlebnikov ... but the effect is multiplied when the landscapes from the game surround you to this day. I'm not talking about a nuclear winter, of course, but about buildings, the same trains, the same names and people. This gives more feelings to the game, especially gives an awareness of what is really to be afraid of and what to love the most.
