Price will drop once they go in to mass production in about 18 months. I think you can get a $7500 rebate from Fed Gov and some states offer $2500 on top of that. Now that's a great deal.

The FUV offers unparalled economy. Just 20 cents to charge, insurance is dirt cheap. No oil changes, no timing belt to break. I had two belts break in my lifetime, each was a total loss of value for my used cars.

Let’s face it Adam, if it had of been a three wheel bike you would have been. In heaven lol. Basically a three wheel electric scooter with added versatility. I can see a market for them for those who hug trees and have a beard but they won’t replace a normal motor bike ( until they get forced off the roads) more perky and fun than a golf cart so will replace them in many places and will make great rental machines in places where they have great weather. But as I live in N Ireland where the weather is too say the least unpleasant, they would be no use whatsoever. PS lovely dog but his eyes need protecting Oh and any chance you could get a certain other Englishman on one riding around his mansion?

The FUV does not have to be a good replacement for all cars to be a huge success. It is designed to substitute 90%, not 100% of car use. Most of the time a 4 passenger car has one or two passengers and an empty trunk. Whether you hug or cut down a tree this design reduces our environmental impacts.

This is what is called going off half cocked. There is more than one way to achieve safety. The FUV is safer than any other motorcycle but it is an autocycle. The certified tested roll cage replaces car door beams and crumple zones. The six point harness eliminates any need for a helmet - in fact, the added weight of a helmet will only increase neck injuries. Air bags are designed to go with 3 point seat belts, an entirely different approach. Proof of safety has already happened with the first 35 mph t-bone collision - the driver walked away with only bruises after being knocked over. For a first hand account of that incident search the FB group. You are now corrected.
