Did you put the milk paint on raw wood? In doing unfinished Alder wall paneling in a room would you put One Step neutral color on the panels first before the milk paint? I love Central Park and am going to use it on the panels.

Yes, the Milk Paint was added to raw wood! One Step is a great layer underneath the Milk Paint, and that color underneath will show through once it is distressed!

@@amyhowardathomeWhat is One Step made of? Is it non toxic? Looking for non toxic paint for the hive exterior for my sensitive bees 🥰🐝

What beauty! I am headed to Home Depot tomorrow to buy a stick of crown and have them cut it into sections for me. I have all of your products you used to start practicing. The tough part will be deciding which of your beautiful new milk paint colors I want...Nice dilemma, though.

Amy, after decades of refinishing and painting furniture, I am delving into the world of MP for the very first time (since kindergarten) through your encouragement. I’ve used it a few times now, over other textured layers of OSP. While watching you butterfly kiss the wax over the MP, I see you’re not getting wax down into the recessed areas - which would leave them unsealed... right? I thought MP needed to either be sealed or have a bonding agent. Help me understand what you do to seal the unwaxed MP.
