Charles does not grant titles. Only the Government can remove them. Under our law of succession, they get them as grandchildren of the Monarch. I need to point out a flaw in the premise that Archie & Lilbet are entitled to use the terms prince & princess. These titles are bestowed on the grandchildren of a monarch in accordance with letters patent of 1917. The fly in the ointment is that A&L have never been proven to be grandchildren of Charles. There has been no witness to their births. There has been no verification of the place of their births. There has been no verification of any medical staff delivering these babies. In short, there is no evidence to suggest that either Hor M is their biological parent. Add to this the claim that M had a hysterectomy @ age 28, & this would make the children of immaculate conception. The Act of Settlement (1701) states that the child must be "born of the body". If Meghan has had a hysterectomy then these children were definitely not born of the body. It is also pointed out in other areas that a child who is adopted has no claim on titles nor a place in the line of succession. It is slso claimed that a child born of a surrogate is treated as an adoption. Therefore A&L have no claim on titles nor a place in the line of succession. And NO, the letters patent of 1917 does not alter this position.
