No waiting to add layers. Just press the dry cement and then plant it in layers.

what kind of wire did you use for base, please tell me i am unable to decide the type and want to create a piece

I use 3mm zinc wire which is soft and pliable. Curtain fabric dipped in cement and wrapped with wire.
