one specific ow1 memory I have is in lunar colony map, defending last point, I was playing torb 1.0, there was an enemy doomfist, he spent the whole game trying to destroy my turret, there was a moment he ulted right into my turret and right before landing on it, I ulted too, turret hp went up from 300 to 800, resisting the damage, I just finished him off, man that was fun.

Incredible to see that the gameplay was so clunky i almost wanted ripoff my legs, hanzo without leap, hog stoping to heal, mercy without move techs, and bastion full stoping to use his skills, that being said, it is being a mix of fun and frustration.

If yes, you're a part of the problem and the reasons OW 1 was taken away from us and replaced with a MONETIZATION OVERHAUL PATCH, nothing more, nothing less. OW 2 is parading the CORPSE of OW1, while pretending it's a spiritual successor of that game, but it's just shit. It's a soulless game for new players, via whom Blizzard can make cash hand over fist. And you're talking about the update drought of 2019-2022? Well, Blizzard were too busy developing the PVE of OW 2, which was later scrapped by corporate, and Jeff and his team left because they didn't want to be a part of the shitshow. OW 2 should have never existed if they KNEW the PVE was never going to see the light of day. But Blizzard even ADVERTIZED the PVE KNOWING it won't happen, so that players can hop on the OW 2 wagon and buy skins. If that is not a scummy move, I don't know what is. OW2 is nothing short of a monetization overhaul patch, and it killed our beloved game for what..? For cold hard corporate cash, and that's it.

Wasn’t perfect but I miss the old Torb packs, the Bastion tank ult, Hog old hook 1.0, even scatter arrow is missed in some way. This was Overwatch. My game. Now is 5vs5 at the speed of light with second chance abilities all around.

Yup. The game initially had no limits. You were lucky to get 2 tanks, let alone two healers. It was mostly people instalocking dps and whoever had an actual comp would just instawin the game. They ended up adding role queue much later on.

@@PhoTC think you misunderstand what i mean by QoL. hog being able to move while healing is QoL. widow scoping in faster is QoL. genji being able to cancel his deflect by recasting it, is QoL. 600 nerfs/buffs to damage, ammo, health, number of players, etc, is not QoL. old sym sucked, sure. new sym isn't in a much better place. changing that is fine. but giving genji 30 ammo, nerfing it back to 24, then buffing it back to 30 6 months later is literally just wasting time. if they spent less time on constantly trying to balance a broken game, maybe we'd have a REAL ow2 coming out. 8 years of moving cassidy's health between 200 and 250, hasn't made the game better. classic proves that. now widow's damage.. okay that might need adjustments, or it's just because they changed the way armor and shields worked some years ago so classic feels super bad even when armored.

That shit isn't "qol," it's huge changes to kits that change how you use those tools and have big ramifications on the characters. And most of those make the game worse because you stop having to think about when you're using those abilities and the consequences for misusing them. These changes you're asking for are what ruined the game.
