yeah i played back in early 2017 and I didn't realize the game was this bad, but it definitely is. I'm currently a Masters1-GM5 zen/lucio main and playing them in classic makes me want to rip out my hair. No speed, no wallriding, no jumping as lucio, zen shoots at half the speed he does now, tracer does 20% more damage than she does now, it's tough.

9:35 I forgot who it was, but do you remember that one pro (was it OWL already?) match, where one Genji ult got interrupted twice, but each time it baited cooldowns/ults from the opponent. So the third time was a free win. Imagine getting punished for outplaying someone... twice. Thank god, this feature is gone.

This is launch OW lol. Role queue didn’t exist until end of 2019. This is how the game used to be back then when the game launched, it was fun and goofy instead of seriously competitive.

It was only bad because of how slow the updates were and how incompetent they were at balancing heroes. But despite that, you cannot definitely say that that game was trash because even when it was getting NO UPDATES in the final years, there were still people playing and streaming it EVERY DAY.

I tried the classic mode and it was straight ass! I only played 1 game and picked support, since my team had 5 tanks and me (Lucio). Lucio's movement was horrible!! Wallride time capped at 2-3(?) seconds, 2x slower speed boost, can't wallride when looking behind/off the wall, you can only wallride once, and you have to touch the ground to do it again, can't boop when you have 0 ammo ( got to reload and have 1-20 ammo for it) and much more! We did win the match, but if felt awful anyways, worse than losing in ow2. :) Edit: I started playing after OW2's launch Edit2: I can't imagine how anyone liked the old "ow1".
