FYI, the mod "Myshka comes to Camp" makes him go to the camp after this interaction. He doesn't recognize your Talk to Animals status so he only meows and you can pspspsps or pet him when he shows up in the camp, but that's good enough for me.

This cat can be adopted, but not by you. Remember that dwarf woman in the myconid settlement in the underdark? If her husband dies, she will be all sad and lonely in Act 3. Then you can talk to Myshka and convince him to have her adopt him. Happy ending for both of them.
