Despite Minsc not having the brightest mind out there, he surprised me when he noticed there is something wrong with the clown. As someone who played Archfey Warlock, your patron notices it as well (unsure about Fiend and Great Old One patrons) and warns you that there is evil intent should you pass a hard insight check (with advantage since your patron aids you). I think you won't get this dialloge if you are the Dark Urge though, since you will have thoughts of murder instead of your patron warning you about the clown. Also, it is funny at the circus' entrance that your Archfey patron feels the fey magic, wanting you to get in. When you are barred from entrance, they throw a childish tantrum and helps you to deceive your way in by saying to better let you in lest they incur the wrath of the Seelie Court 😂 faeries will be faeries I guess.

@@BlueEyedBrunette They don't really talk to you, it's just the narrator telling how they feel and if possible, ask something of you (For example, I read that someone played Great Old One and I think they asked the player to use the Mirror of Loss. I might have misremember so someone correct me on that). Playing a warlock from a roleplay perspective is a bit of a disappointment but also understandable given how big the game already is. Besdies, Wyll's personal questline already covers it. Still though, having played Archfey Patron, there are some lack of interactions that disappointed me. The biggest one is when you face Ethel. Hags are malicious fey creatures so I was curious if your patron had some warning towards her but no, nothing at all. Another is if your patron reacts when you free Dolly or not in act 2, still nothing. I can't speak for Fiend and Great Old One patrons, but I can see the Fiend patron having reactions when you encounter Mizora and Raphael.

@@natg4984 Minsc's mental stats are low which is expected given he's quite the lovable dimwit (he has 6 WIS), which you can check when he's an enemy before recuiting him in the sewers (as playable, the game sets his stats to what it recomends you for a ranger, which is 15 I believe). I think it was just his guts, or rather, Boo, telling him there's something wrong with the clown. The man is all about smiting evil, so I guess it makes sense he can feel them despite not being the brightest mind?

Best thing about Shadowheart and Lae'zel in this scenario is that normally companions would either have +1 or -1 for their approval with each of the two dialogue you use to send them up. If you send Shadowheart up, Lae'zel's approval will increase by 2 each time, and conversely if you send Lae'zel up, Shadowheart's approval will increase by 2 each time as well. They really like seeing each other suffer
