They had the soil conservation people guide them as to how to route that water. Making the buildings waterproof, and or completely out of the water flow should be pretty straightforward. I doubt there’s going to be problems.

Wife and I spent 3 wonderful days in Mammoth Lakes, over the past weekend. 3rd time there with many to follow.

Ok, that firewood situation is super cool! We can get permits super cheap here to go into the woods to cut, but they go a step beyond and bring it out and make it easy to get to. How is it that people aren't out there taking advantage of that? Time to bust out the sawmill! I'm super happy to see how dry June Lake is, I really hope it stays that way and doesn't settle in an awkward way. It is such a pretty lot and neighborhood.

2:08 If I were to guess, I'd bet the helicopter is being used to install towers for the rebuilt Canyon Express lift (Chair 16). On another site I saw the new enclosure at the top of the lift, and the whole lift has been moved over a few dozen yards to avoid the avalanche hazard that's prevalent along the Chutes. So, a reroute of the entire lift + they're expanding it to be a 6-seater chair to help speed up the wait lines.

Do you think Vons has a plan to better deal with heavy snow on their flat roof? What could they do?

Have it cleared on a more regular basis I would think.

Hey Ben we all have to address the elephant in the room (video). How did the “trainee” do lifting and loading the sea-train ?! Man I was looking forward to seeing that process.

Isn’t the chopper finishing up the polls for chair 16? I think it is.

Indeed it's the most troubling jobs or the one's you start without knowing how you're going to get certain parts done, figuring it out as you get there, and failures that advance your capabilities the most and provide most unforgettable lessons.

That was scared ground your building on! I won't be surprised if a Poltergeist doesn't swallow it back up in the near future! You can only obey one master either $ 🤑😈or GOD! 🙏
