@@Saheriyan Shram sanskriti park is the reflection of the hardwork and resilience of Dharane people and the symbol of a cultural revolution in Dharan. It is the best example of what a whole community can achieve when they all come together in the face of enormous challenges. To solve the water shortage in Dharan, under the leadership of the Mayor Harka Sampang, the people of Dharan and all over Nepal volunteered to install the pipes around the banks of more than 5 rivers for almost a year, and in that process, they wanted to convert the riverbank full of rocks and stones into a green park so that people would never forget the contribution that all these people made when no one could have ever imagined that it was possible to solve the water crisis in Dharan by gathering water from all these rivers through installing the water pipes directly into the rivers. As a matter of fact, the water that is sourced from these rivers is now able to reach all the homes of Dharan which prevented them from having to buy water from tankers as in Kathmandu. Although this might be a temporary solution, but it was so worth it considering we don't know when the government is going to start the national project on Saptakoshi river to sort out the problem of water shortage in Dharan. Hence, this incredible cultural revolution all began in the river, so Shram sanskriti Park was built to honour the contribution made by all the volunteers. When one visits a certain place and really wants to know about the local culture and the people, I think visiting places that really tell the stories of the local people and are, thereby important to them ,really enables the traveller to see things from a different perspective and enhances their experience to another level. Hope it makes sense!

Ramro! For over 6 months I’ve been watching Gagan Dahal videos as he went around quite a few places and was engaged to a woman from a village near Hile, Hathikarka. He is from Damak and the views and food all looked amazing. The Limbu culture is amazing to and so interesting to see. Here in the uk, I don’t know which area she’s from but a bhani runs a khana ko van called Gurkha Street Food around the area just north of London. I see her at a Vauxhall car show for past few years and she does me a none menu item buff sukuti chowmein 😋🥰👍🇳🇵

So cool! I didn't know him. 👍 Oh Nice! You have the taste of Nepal in UK. In Dharan, the main meat is pork. It was probably the best chowmein I had in Nepal! Mitho! 👌
