The UK was an independent and self-governing nation. They made decisions together with 27 other countries. The EU isn’t perfect but to claim freedom of own laws etc is utter nonsense. Any deal is a joint agreement and within the EU they had alot of exemptions. This whole brexit was rushed through for the benefits of the rich. Nigel Farge is a banker and thinks only for his own benefits.

@@Jay-gr9ij They did and they voted to remain in the UK on the promise that it was their best way of being in the EU. How did that work out? Oh I remember. @@Bloomazz How was it their best way of remaining in the EU if two years later they were dragged out of it against their wishes? It's also the case that the EU said they would welcome Scotland's application. So while they would have to have left the EU temporarily and apply again as an independent nation, their application would have been looked on favourably.

I'm not British. But Bercoe just talked over the top of people, showing a great ignorance. I don't know what he actually does (politics?) but it appeared that he'd prepared his speech points in advance and didn't answer any questions or adequately refer to comments that the interviewer or Faraga made. Talking over the top and falsely accusing people of saying things that they didn't isn't very smart really. Viewers can see that. As a non Brit with no interest in Brexit, Farage played it well with a straight bat. Bercoe made the mistake of harranguing Farage, but not able to really address the issues that Farage had made. So missed the mark. If you are going to harrangue someone, listen to what they say and then attack the argument. Don't just take the microphone and talk some diatribe over the top of everyone for five minutes.

Me neither. As with most other polls, it will have been poorly conducted and/or agenda serving. Anyway, I have a couple of issues with this discussion. First, the invitation to "bully boy" Bercow to take part. I note the preening, little pixie has lost none of his tendency to shout over anyone he wishes, as he did as Speaker, during the days he made up parliamentary procedure as he went along. Bercow embodies the rotten parliament that, for over 2 years, spat in the face of democracy until it was dissolved in 2019. Second, two highly paid MPs moonlighting on GB News at a time that most MPs devote to their constituents. Mr. Farage, of course, spoke a great deal of sense (when he was allowed to).

You seem to be under the impression that the UK were the only one's who suffered lockdowns. Every country in the G7 had lockdowns & most in the G20, yet Britain is at the bottom of the list in terms of growth. There has been a loss of £100 billion with trade with the EU & the only external trade deals so far, are with Australia & New Zealand which basically involve importing cheap lamb into Britain from the other side of the world to undercut British farmers. Half the world is facing similar problems to the UK & yet most of them are doing better than the UK. Yet somehow that’s brexits fault? Stop being deluded and upset, we haven’t had a normal year since we left, almost straight after we did, there was the virus, lockdowns, now the war.

@@quimble2177 Funny how Britain was the "fastest growing" right up until the UK actually actually left the EU in 2020 & is now the slowest since leaving for real. You can blame the lockdowns, the war in Ukraine or Tom, Dick & Harry but the fact is, the UK are the only one's who had Brexit & they are now in the worst position. No country has had a "normal year" since the beginning of 2020 & yet most are doing better than the UK. I can't believe I'm sat here watching the Gammon Brexshit channel, but it was kind of worth it to see Nigels sad face several times as he got pummeled by the facts. It's unfortunate that those absolutely awful presenters kept repeatedly cutting John off every time he was saying something that embarrassed Nigel, but then their bias wasn't exactly unexpected. It's GB News after all. The most glaringly obvious one was when John started listing off all the damage Brexshit has done to the country. I could almost visibly see their hearts sinking, as they realised that everything he was listing was totally true and that they couldn't deny any of it, so they very quickly interrupted him so that Nigel could talk crap instead. I expect someone was shouting in their ear pieces "Quick! Stop him from talking now!" It's also so absurd watching Fartage continually blame the Tories for messing Brexshit up (it was previously all the Remainers and the EU's fault lol), considering the fact that he stood members from his own party down in the 2019 elections and told his supporters to all vote for the Tories. He was instrumental in helping them get their 80 seat majority, which they're currently using to shaft everyone and enrich themselves at everyone elses expense. The Brexiteers always blame others for the failure of their project, instead of just admitting that they got it wrong. But then they would never admit that would they, because I strongly suspect that each of them knew damn well that Brexshit was going to be disastrous for the country, and were only pursuing it for their own personal reasons (aka enriching their disaster capitalist mates and donors, who have indeed made a fortune out of everyone elses misery). It's a simple fact though that Brexshit was never going to succeed no matter who was at the steering wheel, because it was all based on lies and literally has nothing positive to offer. Brexshit relies exclusively on slagging off the EU, which is why Leave voters always struggle when asked the question "What are the benefits to Brexshit". Their most common response is "Well we don't have to do what the EU tells us any more", which isn't actually a benefit at all. Oh so our government doesn't have to abide by EU legislation that would force them to tax our energy companies and reduce our bills? Oh wow! Thanks for that! I'm also so glad that water companies can ignore EU laws that previously prevented them from polluting our waters with raw sewage. Great! So a Brexshit benefit is that if we go swimming on the south coast, we get the pleasure of swimming in literal shit. Fantastic! Brexshits "success" relies on the collapse of the EU so that the Brexiteers could all say "See! We were right! Look at the disaster we all avoided", something the Brexiteers were all insisting was going to happen. And yet it hasn't happened at all. On the contrary, it's now the UK that is facing the strong possibility of having it's own union break up, whilst the voices of right wing extremists in EU countries who were previously loudly calling for leaving the EU have now become very muted indeed. The UK is now serving as a warning to all EU member countries about what will happen to their country if they leave and stick their fingers up at their neighbours instead of working together. The only thing that has made Brexshit fail is Brexshit itself. And on top of all that, it's the EU that has been seeing actual benefits to Brexshit, whilst the UK has experienced nothing but problems. £1 trillion of banking assets and thousands of jobs left the UK to go to countries in the EU, as well as shit loads of companies that have also left the country because of the trade barriers making it impossible to do business with the rest of Europe. In fact, the governments own advice to struggling companies was to move their headquarters to an EU country. LMAO! How insane is that?!

Every time anyone has tried pointing out how shit Brexshit is, they get shot down with "Oh you don't respect the results of the vote. You hate democracy blah blah blah". self governing implies that Britain did not govern. Inside the EU, decisions were taken by the Council in which Britain had the same voting power as Germany, France and Italy. When you are building rules by which to live by you have the argument and then you make a decision. Ask the Scottish people about sovereignty! They voted to stay in the EU by a huge majority but they were outvoted by the English. The UK was not very often outvoted in the EU Council.

Let's hear the evidence for the idea Brexit failed because the only things cited by globalist stooges and the useful idiot left is the global cost of living and energy crisis. That couldn't possibly be down to a global pandemic and shutting down the largest economies in the world and war in Europe could it? Brain-dead! It is just more bull and lies from globalist media and left who were wrong on every aspect of project fear yet believe the same lies all over again! They said we wouldn't have the deals we had with the EU for 10n years and then they would be worse - we had the same or better within 2 years! In future we also don't have to pay tens of billions to the EU for being part of the protection racket that is the single market just to do that trade. Meanwhile we have many new deals around the world that we could not make under the EU. (Because it is self evidently not a free market as remain laughably believe) worth many billions with more in the pipeline the biggest of which will be joining the CPTPP which will on its own likely equal the trade we do with the EU. If we had a populist and patriot in power instead of a puppet and reversed the destructive globalist policies while promoting national interests then this nation would take off. And far from being isolationist, or xenophobic trading with the whole world would seem a lot less myopic than demanding we only trade under the EU while being ruled by them into a subservient class of non-citizens. The further power is away from the people the less their needs will be known or understood and the less represented they will be. That is why we have constituencies and MP's Does that mean that the people will make good electoral choices or that government will represent our needs instead of special interests or that the people will hold them to account when they become oppressive such as with the pandemic debacle? Of course not, but the chances are much higher than with a faceless technocracy funded by an agenda driven global elite making decisions in a foreign nation based upon the needs to expand their power rather than those of the people. Brexit cannot solve our issues, it can only give us the power to influence the future world our children will live in. Personally I believe we are rapidly going in the wrong direction because the tyranny within our own establishment runs very deep and information is controlled while the propaganda that keeps us divided is relentless so it is a case of the need to win hearts and minds and educate people as quickly as possible on how our democracy has been undermined, a rot that has set in over decades which the EU simply exacerbated. The reality is our establishment support many of the same special interests as the EU while our civil service want to wriggle out of their responsibilities, hence the anti Brexit sentiment. The idea that an appreciation of the benefits of nationhood and national culture is xenophobic is pretty silly when you think about it. Who would paint patriotism as evil if not an occupying force that is diametrically opposed to the nation state, their culture and so by association their peoples? That is the real xenophobia here, the hatred of the nation state and their diverse cultures with a desire to overwrite them with the collectivist non culture of "multiculturism" It is remain who want every nation in Europe destroyed by mass immigration and open borders until they are all moulded into the same dysfunctional collective of manufactured globalist homogeneity It was Juncker who said patriots are stupid people who need to be replaced by people from far away for EU solidarity. and Peter Sutherland, the Goldman Sachs banker the EU hired to create open borders in readiness for the premeditated mass immigration who stated, "more must be done to undermine the homogeneity of EU nations" Those statements are not just xenophobic, they are borderline genocidal. And just to underscore how this was all scripted under UN agenda 21 and Population Replacement for Europe (2001) the same Peter Sutherland had a new post created for him at the UN after achieving open borders so that he could issue diktats on immigration. Mass immigration is a social engineering tool to weaken and ultimately destroy national homogeneity (Out of the horses mouth) and Brexit was a small step in attempting to prevent that. That is what sticks in the throat of leftists because they have been brainwashed into demanding the destruction of their nation state and thus the benefits and protections that come with citizenship. They have been brainwashed into demanding their own enslavement under a global technocracy run by the very elite and multi national corporations they think they are fighting! It is easy to program weak minds, just tell them they are fighting Nazi's and to ignore the fact all their movements are funded by the rich and powerful be it Antifa, BLM or any other subversive group that will help accelerate the destruction of the nation state and any chance of people uniting against a common enemy that divides and rules them. In all the years of Brexit I have never come across a Remainer who actually had a nuanced and informed opinion on the EU or our leaving and what it actually meant economically and politically.. It was very much the same with the Pandemic, same playbook of divide and rule and have the useful idiots who follow the tyranny believe they are righteous and fighting Nazis or whatever. If I have any regrets about Brexit then it is that I had too much faith in the British people and underestimated how subservient and weak they had become under decades of Marxist social engineering and political correctness. My belief that they might actually take the opportunity to educate themselves on global affairs and the geopolitical machinations of the elite. That they would be incapable of having sensible discussions on the destructive and unsustainable nature of mass immigration and be so willingly to sell out their children and deprive them of a life they had for the fake virtue and a pat on the head.

@@minkhs This is so ignorant of how trade deals work. You do not pay to make a trade deal, they are done because they are mutually beneficial or not at all. This notion that the EU was some sort of benevolent overlord, it is like dealing with people who have Stockholm syndrome. We don't pay for any of our trade deals now. We are joining the CPTPP, a trading block that of £11 trillion and growing much faster than the stagnant EU single market with far more potential for further growth and there is no annual fee to pay to an unelected body. See if you can grasp this. We have all the same or better deals with the nations trading under the EU than we had before Brexit and now we don't pay £17 Billion a year for the privilege! We could have had a much better deal still with zero tariffs but the EU would rather cut off their nose to spite their face in an attempt to "punish" Britain for leaving at cost to themselves because they know that other nation's would realise what crony protection racket the single market is. with the plutocrats and technocrats who run the EU fattening themselves on their tax money and fees as needless middle men. And all this comes at the cost of political sovereignty. The EU in its original proposed form, a trading block is not objectionable but it is far removed from that and has become a totalitarian technocratic dictatorship where the "greater good" is more centralisation of power and wealth to the plutocrats and oligarchs behind it and the weakening of the nation states and their diverse national cultures to undermine opposition. It, and its central banks/IMF and global financier backers, are to blame for the Ukraine situation along with NATO expansionism, AKA US Imperialism. (Below is a contemporary look at the Ukraine conflict and how and why it came about so you can skip) Ukraine needed a loan and were seeking a deal with the EU and their central bank backers but the deal they offered was similar to what they did with Greece, it was nothing but asset stripping exercise. So the government went to Russia who gave them a deal that was massively preferable. The US and EU (and more to the point the bankers and globalists) did not like this as they wanted to expand NATO into Ukraine and cut of Russia from Europe and so they hatched a plot to overthrow the democratically elected President of Ukraine and set about creating unrest through George Soros foundations and fake humanitarian organisations just as they do create every fake revolution and profitable proxy war. (In Syria it was the MI5 created White Helmets for example) Once the coup had been achieved in 2014 they put in place their puppet regime who happened to be fascists but war this isn't about politics, it is about money and resources. We even have Albright, then secretary of State for the US and others discussing who they were putting in power from leaked phone calls. The large Russian supporting population protested this as they had no voice in their new overlords and Crimea held a referendum to be annexed by Russia. The Ukraine regime had already began persecuting Russian sympathisers and anyone who dissented and this regime that we are supposed to lick the boots of because "democracy" went about banning all political opposition and bringing all media under state control and mass arrests, something even our own media reported on and warned of the rise of fascism in Ukraine prewar (Before they got the memo, Putin is the bad guy, The Neo Nazi Zelensky the good guy) where upon their narrative reverse 180 degrees. All this is on record. After the Crimea vote the Ukrainian regime sent in troops which triggered the civil war. Russia sent in troops to protect Russians in Ukraine and the Donbas region. where documented crimes against humanity had taken place by the Neo Nazi Azov brigade that would later be incorporated into the Ukraine army. A peace deal was signed which was endorsed by the US, the Minsk agreement which made it clear there could no NATO expansionism or persecution of Russians in Ukraine, and Russian troops moved back into Russia. (But the media tell us Putin invaded Ukraine on a whim LOL) Zelensky then ordered the Neo Nazi Azov battalion to attack pro Russian supporters in the Donbas region again (Fully backed by the US) and the US made talk of Ukraine joining NATO in direct violation of the agreement. Putin demanded talks and made clear Ukraine was a red line for Russia and they would intervene if violations continued. The US ignored Russia and refused talks and so the invasion began and here we are. The US and EU sanctions on Russia were so nebulous that they hurt Europeans and Americans as much as Russians but the whole purpose of the Ukraine operation was/is to bring down Russia. The US then committed one of the greatest acts of international terrorism and false flags ever known and blew up Nord stream so that Europe would be dependent on US energy forever more.

Regarding the topic of Brexit, Nigel makes several excellent points. In order for Brexit to be a success, we required the cooperation of politicians on all sides of the issue. The reality is, as Nigel pointed out very well, MPs did not believe in Brexit and would, with the assistance of Speaker Bercow, stymie the process of leaving the European Union in any way they could. We had to deal with the COVID virus as well as the conflict in Ukraine, as if dealing with politicians wasn't difficult enough. As you can see, there were a great deal of challenges that stood in the way of the Brexit becoming a successful event. It is imperative that politicians from both parties come together in order to carry out Nigel Farage's vision for how Brexit should be carried out.

Yes, a cooperation that would have bruised too many egos to be given.

Esther McVey and some bloke called Philip trying to make Farage's points for him, letting him ramble on, cutting off Bercow. It's news, Jim, but not as we know it. Bercow nevertheless wipes the floor with The Nigel. The only question is whether the obvious negative impact of BREXIT is something the GBNews Base is able to admit to itself or whether its happy to remain gaslit.

We have left the EU, but I assume you're refering to EU regulations that are still upheld by the UK government. Which EU regulations should be abolished in your view? Remember that deviating from EU regulations will almost certainly trigger a trade war that will hurt the UK and EU rules are there for good reason, to protect workers and consumers. I wouldn't mind making our rules even more stringent, but virtually all brexiteers want to remove them.

I would vote leave again. We have already escaped hundreds of new EU rules. Better to make your own way in life. Take a look at EU-Lex there are pages of new directives and rules. Directives on unemployment benefits, directives on fishing, regulations on farming. All future regulations for 2023.
