The start of this song as a light, nonsense lyric, snap happy tune belies the darkened hook that captures the real terror of the death star more then most of the movies ever did. Coupled with the few good shots from Rogue one, it at times sends chills down one's spine. The hook is beyond catchy to the point it actually is pushing Bushes of Love and Seaguls, if not out of my head, then at least to the backseat. Which is a VERY hard thing to do as I've woken up and had one of those two songs running in my head.

Ngl, I kind of agree. Like, the idea of the Death Star as an “erected sun” is neat. Because it drives home the idea that this is almost a force of nature, and it was built to uphold and evil wizards regime, so ultimately before anything gets better it’s gonna get worse.

@@Odincdaj522004 All of Tarkin's lines are really well done. As you pointed out, this particular song is less random than some of the others. It makes sense in context with itself. I wonder how long it takes to create one of these videos? It's quite complicated, I'm sure. Musically, I like "Bushes of Love" better. "Seagulls! (Stop It Now)" is funnier, but right now, I can't stop listening to this one. Perhaps it's because it was underappreciated and didn't get around to really listening until fairly recently. What I really want is a new _Star Wars_ BLR song. We may never get another one because it's such a labor-intensive process.
@brennan89303 жыл бұрын
Okay, here's a kind of funny story. I heard the song a couple months ago and I really liked it (obviously). Part that I remembered most was " bleep boop bloam, goodbye to your home." Then, I had a Star Wars marathon, as one does. Then, when I got to A New Hope, I was waiting for the part where they pressed three buttons in a row so that I could say "bleep bloop bloam, goodbye to your home." But it wasn't there. I figured it must be in Return of the Jedi. So then I was watching Return of the Jedi, and I was looking for when they press three buttons in a row so I could say "Bleep bloop bloam, goodbye to your home. " but it wasn't there. So then, I figured that that bit must be edited or something. Then, about a week later, I decided to watch Rogue one first the first time since it came out in theaters. Then, I saw the moment! They pressed three buttons in a row and I said "Bleep bloop bloam, goodbye to your home." It was very satisfying.

@Shelby Seelbach Definition of underrated: "Not rated or valued highly enough". To say something is underrated doesn't mean that it isn't rated well. It just means that you think it should get more recognition and be rated better by more people. Also, the OP didn't even say that this is particularly underrated. They just said it's the _most_ underrated. meaning that if they had to choose one that should be rated higher than it is, this would be the one that deserves it the most.

Death of a culture. Somewhere the vulture Is waiting for us in an erected sun, A sun with an ion gun. - Bad Lip Reading These are pretty good lyrics, really. Most of these songs contain lyrics that are either brilliant or so random they can be interpreted as profound. I have my own meaning for the lyrics of "Bushes of Love." @@padmeamidala5161 It's kind of personal, which makes it especially ridiculous. A parody song with ridiculous lyrics can actually make me cry. I got another parrot, hand-raised her myself, and she was lost outside due to an accident. Then my mother got cancer. And that's where we are now. That was my chicken-duck-woman thing. 49 times...yeah, it was 49 times and it was right there waiting for me. Just prior to this, my grandmother died. One of my best friends died ten days after I lost my lifelong parrot friend. I have lost everyone who mattered to me: everyone except my mother...and when it comes to cancer, you just never know. "... or children of the night." 100+ points for the Dracula reference there edit: fyi, Peter Cushing who played Grand Moff Tarkin also once played Van Helsing in the late 1950s Dracula for those who didnt know. Christopher Lee also played Dracula in that same film :) Just a fun little trivia and why I gave points there for the reference.
@alexdio43896 жыл бұрын
Nick Bull two legends in one great movie!
@MarcusBritish6 жыл бұрын
Just to update you on your trivia: Peter Cushing actually played Van Helsing in 5 Hammer Horror films. There were 9 "Dracula" films in total, made by the studio over a 16-year period. Christopher Lee played Dracula in 7 of them. TBH, only the first three were really any good, after that they were pretty lame, for the most part. Hammer Films studio generally made low-budget or B-movie films, often camp and cheesy, but they were often enjoyable and have a lot of admirers, including myself. Three great horror-film actors came from that golden period: Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and Vincent Price. Price never worked for Hammer, but Cushing and Lee co-starred in a number of Hammer Horror films, including their Dracula, Frankenstein, Gorgon, Mummy and Sherlock Holmes films. They were good partners, even though Lee mostly played the monster role. Horror of Dracula (1958) - Cushing & Lee The Brides of Dracula (1960) - Cushing only Dracula Prince of Darkness (1966) - Lee only Dracula has Risen from the Grave (1968) - Lee only Taste the Blood of Dracula (1969) - Lee only Scars of Dracula (1970) - Lee only Dracula A.D. 1972 (1972) - Cushing & Lee The Satanic Rites of Dracula (1973) - Cushing & Lee The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974) - Cushing & Lee

@Beorgast6 жыл бұрын
I had just come to say this. That's my favourite part along with "girl, you're cray cute" and "evil comes in round shapes".
@Beorgast6 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't agree that they are bad after the first three which were masterpieces, but 'Dracula as Risen...' is pretty great in it's own right. 'Taste' should have been great but was flawed and 'Scars' was somewhat ridiculous but enjoyable for its attempts at further world-building and some of the performances (especially Troughton as Klove). The two modern day films were bad and not even the same canon as the real series (Cushing plays two Van Helsings here, Lawrence and Lorimer) and has Dracula and Lawrence Van Helsing (not Dr. J. Van Helsing from te prime series) meet and kill eac other in the 187s. A Strange move. 'Legend' was cheesy but fun for what it was even if it didn't feature Christoper Lee as Dracula who was instead played by John Forbes-Robertson (dubbed by David de Keyser due to an illness wen it came to do the overdubbing session) in his true form, and Chan Shen wen Dracula possesses the body of Kah, the High Priest. I disagree that Hammer Hammer Films studio generally "made low-budge"t or "B-movie film" as they were usually mid-budget (for their time and place) though earlier they looked more lavish and expensive, while later, around 1970 they actually looked cheaper. And none of the Dracula or Frankenstein films were B-Movies. Hammer usually made films to be shown as double-features (especially abroad) and while neither where officially A-movies or B-Movies in reality one would be fundamentally an "A", a Dracula or Frankenstein film,or atleast pictures starring the big names such as Lee or Cushing, while something less recognisable like 'Plague of the Zombies' or 'The Reptile' (both great films) would act as a sort of "B". Occasionally due to Hammer co-producing films or as part of distribution deals did pair them with a non-Hammer film, the same applies and in many cases the Hammer film was the more prestige one. As for "camp" I'd agree about the later ones; 'Vampire Lovers' onward but the earlier ones while, old fashioned, slightly melodramatic and hyperbolic can actually be viewed pretty unironically as great; specifically the Terence Fisher directed films.

Years later and this song is still stuck in my head. Such awesome production on it. The chorus is banging, even if the lyrics are completely out there haha.
