Star Wars is literally a timeless medium. I'm alluding to being born of a different generation from whence lyrics actually meant something. Maybe it is all subjective and relevant to the individual, I remember a time circa 1988-1998 when I was an Australian teenager and was literally blessed to have been privvy to the big 3. #1 Metal... Sepultura, Machine Head etc etc #2 Seattle Grunge... Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam etc etc.. and fkk Nirvana. 😉 #3 Rap... NWA, Ice-T, Public Enemy etc etc..and that white boy from Detroit was Shady asf. To be blunt, access to this music in my formulative years gave me the tools to appreciate the previous generations music. Paul Simon once sang about every generation creating their own heroes in the " pop charts". The Beatles , Rodriguez, Bob Dylan etc etc... wordsmiths with lyrics that told a story. I hope the meaning of what I am trying to convey resonates with at least 1 person.. Thankyou for taking the time to read this Tolstoy novel 😉

That really is a brilliant sequence, and i can explain exactly WHY it's so brilliant: First, the comedic timing. Wedge (the character "avoiding death") responds to Luke's question before Luke even finishes saying it. Luke is literally still on the "ng" sound when Wedge starts to answer. Why is this brilliant comedy? Because they're literally in a giant battle, and Luke's question "hey guys, what you doing?" is prima facie ridiculous. They're trying not to get killed. What ELSE would they be doing in a battle? The camera cut to Wedge's absolutely deadpan, totally serious facial expression just underlines how asinine the question was. And then the Luke character has to ask him to repeat what he just said, which again enhances the joke by showing Luke is so completely detached from reality that he either didn't hear or didn't understand the reply, or understand that his question was stupid in the first place. It also works as an in-joke reference. The Wedge Antilles character is the ONLY character in Star Wars that is present at (and survives) all three major "air" battles: he is at the Battle of Yavin against the first Death Star, he is at the Battle of Hoth (and is one of only two characters to actually destroy an AT-AT, and the only character to do so from an airspeeder), and he is the pilot of one of only two ships that survive entering the second Death Star- and fires what appears to be the fatal shot at the DS2 power core. No other characters, to include the main characters of the original trilogy, survive every major air/space battle of the original trilogy: Luke, Han, and Chewbacca are present at the First Death Star, but Han and Chewie don't participate in the battle at Hoth, and at Endor are part of the ground battle, so they don't participate in the attack on the second Death Star. Luke is at the first Death Star and Hoth, but like Han, volunteers for the ground battle at Endor and is captured/ surrenders to the Empire, and like Luke, doesn't take part in the attack on the second Death Star. But the Wedge Antilles character is a minor character in the movies; he barely has any lines at all. He's best known for... well, for surviving all three movies. So, what's his main role in the films? Literally "avoiding death". That's Wedge's thing, avoiding death.

Aaron George Google BLR interview. There was a Rolling Stones article about him in 2011. At that point he stated it was a one man show.
