Just used the AR45 on a roof yesterday, drop the chem on heavy, guy on ground swaps to water, rinse and he just holds the hose on the gutters, in and out in 30 mins and $400 richer. Feels good.

Good video Cody. You can make a lot of things work for different applications. And give them a specific name. The bad thing is when big manufacturers start making specific parts for soft washing the price will go up sky high for the parts. A Hudson float valve we pay 35.oo for now will become 135.oo when it becomes a soft wash shut off valve.

Idk, We made the BatchBuster and our price is actually cheaper than the generic valves. The new stuff will still have to be price competitive with the old generic stuff that does still work, If anyone makes a new component, and they are not competitive, no one will buy it, even though it is specifically made for the industry. Unless it is extremely improved, which will justify the increased price. If it is a similar function in Product, just tweaked to be tailored to Softwashing, they will have to be competitive in price, or the market will not bear the inflated value

@@ronjclm8590 that’s correct. We do plan on segueing the valve into a couple of other industries, the swimming pool industry for example. We engineered the dial plate to be removable, so that we can just simply re-design that interface for the end-user, specific to their application.

The only thing that’s more annoying is guys call an AR 45 is a softwash system and the talk crap about the P40 softwash pump. I’ve never really thought about “roof pump” until now, thanks🤣. The best thing I ever did was throw my metering valves in the garbage except for the ones on the soap lines. Y’all are building some cool equipment, this industry needs more people to think outside the box and less people copying someone else’s ideas to make a quick buck.

I've never really got hung up on the terminology in the industry but I see what you're saying. My daddy always said "take a man for what he means not what he says" I bought one of those dang "gas roof pumps" mainly for 1 job where we had to softwash approx 120,000 Sq ft of roof in 5 days and my 12V just didn't cut it. My 12V is definitely my go to on day to day jobs though.

When they say Gas roof pumps or like specifically a AR45 they are just meaning its for roofs and other surfaces no major right or wrong the engine and pumps application is for laying chemical

Terms..Just like when customers always refer to power washing or pressure washing " can you power wash my siding or house" I always correct them when they call. Power Washing uses Hot water and high pressure, Pressure Washing uses cold water and high pressure so u don't want to use those methods to clean Siding. Soft Washing uses Low pressure and Special Detergents to clean and is the safest and best way to clean Siding that's what I say to them. How about Soft wash roof pump? Lol

Why is it bad to run SH threw a Pump on a Pressure washing system but it's ok to run SH threw a softwash system? (Using meter valve control for SH,Soap,water)

We don't run SH through the pressure pump, we downstream it from the end of the hose. Softwash pumps use electric pumps with bleach resistant seals. Cody is saying these gas pumps aren't designed with SH in mind so they leak and break

Nope. That is not why I don’t like them silly. I don’t like them because we take about half a dozen phone calls every week of guys having trouble out of them, and they are not easy, or cheap to get back up and running. To me the negatives just outweigh the benefits. But unfortunately, this is another example of what I’m talking about with not being able to have accurate dialogue in our industry. I (an actual industry expert) state a opinion based on tons of data on a piece of equipment. But no one actually here’s what I’m saying, all the interpreted my statements as “he just don’t like them because He want to set a 12v stuff”🙄 It would literally take me to waving my hand to start selling those pumps on our equipment. And we would make a ton of money, and they would work just fine for a short period of time, but I would wind up hurting my company, and my brand, because I would be sacrificing long-term customer experience for a short term gain. Y’all really do be thinking I can’t order AR-45 pumps and slap them together so fast it’d make your head spin. Cannot fathom that a company would simply choose not to offer a certain pump because we have used them before, and we have data that tells us it’s not a good idea long term. It’s the exact same reason I don’t use booster pumps, there’s no need in it, they are not beneficial enough to outweigh the problems. Besides all of this, the point of this video actually had nothing to do with how good or bad these style pumps were. It was about correct Terminology. but I’m assuming you probably did not watch the video but maybe two minutes before you decided to comment 🙄🙄🙄 God dang y’all dense

The best pump combo is this: Apply chemicals with a Pumptec XPVC. The XPVC features a machined PVC body and alloy C-276 valves for maximum chemical compatibility. Rinse with a Udor Gappa55-GR agricultural sprayer. You can’t beat this combo!

You can downstream stucco.

You can technically downstream anything, but it is not the most efficient method, especially if you have extremely nasty porous surfaces like stucco, or asphalt shingle roof. Thus the need for a softwash system.
