Just what I needed… I’ve been struggling with keeping a healthy lifestyle but today I decided enough is enough and I needed to prioritise healthy eating, exercise and a good mindset again. Thank you Holly this video will help me a lot❤️ and greetings from Argentina🇦🇷

it's also super nice to hear that you've started with changing your mindset, because that is the whole point of this video, and so i hope it simply helps to cement your decision to make smarter decisions! 💚

Thanks holly! I missed the first minutes of the video but I’ll rewatch it now. But for what I saw the video was really educational because taking about the financial aspects of a healthy lifestyle is really really useful🩷 have a nice day or night🥰🫶🏼 Edit: I watched the first minutes!! I love the kind of mindset you are promoting and you really really motivated me, so thank you so much holly! I’m currently 23 and in forty years I want to be an active and happy old lady🥹

This is all valid but please remember not everyone has the means to invest in their health and some people invest in health for it to be taken away in the blink of an eye. So yes invest in the future but also live in the moment…eat the ice cream, buy the thing, watch the programme etc. life can change in an instant and we may not always have a future to plan/invest in.

This approach is lacking balance. Yes, eating healthy foods is good, moving your body is good, getting enough sleep is super important - but all this is never going to be healthy without so called "unhealthy" choices like ice cream, binging Netflix, chilling on your couch all day and staying up late to have a good time. While I agree that making decisions for your future self is important, being in the present and enjoying the here and now is equally important. Also I'm missing the financial aspect enabling this mindset and lifestyle. There are many people working their butts off and making mininum wages that will never be able to get a gym membership or buy only healthy foods. The economic and social group you're born into determines so much when it comes to the topics discussed in this video. It's not always just a choice. Don't get me wrong, the idea of this video is great, but it's too short sighted and ignores many factors that play a huge role in this.

I specifically addressed the idea of ‘balance’ a few times in this video, and even at the start in the disclaimer, so I’m not sure if you just missed that? Financially, I agree, everyone is in a different situation and it would be something I’d like to talk more about in future videos. The reason why this video was kept brief / on the shorter side was because I wanted to simply preface future videos that I will be posting on this channel going forwards, and focus mostly on the mindset, in this one. I, of course, touch on finances, and it has therefore opened up a conversation that I wish to continue in future videos!

@@HollyGabrielle Where did you adress balance exactly? You said that one could eat the Ben & Jerry's or watch that Netflix show, but that one could also make "better choices" than that. So please point me to where you talked about balance and how important it is to a healthy lifestyle, because while I gave this video my attention, I might have missed or misunderstood.

she literally said eating ben and jerries is fine from time to time but not ALL of the time, which is logical, eating ben and jerries everyday is not good for our health and is not balance@@sarah_kale

These are good points. It does seem that discipline and especially self-discipline have gone out of the window in recent years. That is a big thing lacking in people's lives these days.

Some feedback, not sure about the netflix point. Part of health is mental health and social health - netflix can be a way to destress as well as enable you to connect with others as you talk about shows.

and just a note for anyone else reading this and wondering: 'vegan' to me refers to my ethical values, whilst 'plant-based' describes my diet, so from a health perspective i would talk about eating a 'plant-based' diet rich in whole foods, because someone who is simply vegan could still be eating a lot of vegan 'junk food' as it were 👌🏻🤓

So i go back to eat everything. But i get sick pretty often now😂 and my mental health is not ok. How we can be thougtfull about foods and health without being too anxious . I also had brother who died because of pancreatic cancer..he is such a healthy person (active...healthy eating) i know u study about cancer so could u explain me?thanks holly

Yes! It may be possible. There are some people like that, who look 10-20 years younger than they really are, some despite their family genetics expressing otherwise, and others with the advantage of genetics. I’ve even heard of some cases of people with multiple personality disorders changing their eye colours. The mind is still a largely unknown realm.

Hi Holly, have you heard of Bryan Johnson/was this video inspired by his longevity experiment hes got going on? Thank you for the Video:)
@HollyGabrielle
@HollyGabrielle 9 ай бұрын
yes i have!! it wasn't necessarily 'inspired' by him per se, but longevity research is very big in the biology space (and on social media 😅) these days, and it was a subject that i really enjoyed studying (well, only really scratching the surface) at cambridge, so that probably explains some of the concepts mentioned in this video . . . and it will also explain why i want to talk about it more in future videos 🤓🤓🤓

LOVE this video, love that you are making content you are truly passionate about 🫶🏼off the back of this, I'd love to see a Holly Tries: CrossFit series - as a CrossFit coach I'd recommend like a month of 2-3 sessions a week to get a truly good representation of what you think! CrossFit is a brand but first and foremost a methodology, and if you were to read a teeny tiny bit of the L1 course material you'd be so aligned with it!
