What's even MORE amazing is that she sang this live on the set, ofcourse this is the studio version but she actually belted this while they were recording the scene. I never understood the reason for the toxicity, but in the years since Meryl Streep has turned out so many incredible performances. Her range which hasn't included many singing roles, yet she surpasses herself in role after role. She brings to each role something fresh or unique as an interpretation or delivery of the character. The prom is no exception, when you have to ask "Who is that?" it's clear how diverse and unpredictable the catalogue of Meryl Streep is and continures to become.

This week, Meryl has had two films released, The Prom and Let Them All Talk, and her performances in both are exquisite, yet the characters couldn't be more different.
