Jaks, I agree with you. Socially we are never the most important people in the room, except for our birthday or wedding. We make a choice each day to live by grace and be happy with whatever circumstances we encounter. Some days are good, others not so great. The point is we tried and keep trying.

It’s healthy to realize one is not the center of the universe and everyone’s and everything doesn’t revolve around you. We do see life from our perspective which includes our likes and dislikes and our understanding of good and evil. In essence we are experiencing our environment from our point of view and evaluating and making value judgements accordingly.

It comes down to self-confidence and creating your self-worth through your own actions. When you hate yourself (or you're just generally insecure), it is so easy to play the victum, blameshift, and develop an unhealthy need for external validation. . . . While I appreciate the example. I've heard far too many Reddit stories about Bridzillas, Groomzillas, Monster-in-laws, golden children, toxic friendships, family members, and relatives to the point that weddings are in fact the prime example of "unhealthy" people showing their true colors around "self-centeredness" and believing the day is about them. Or a ridiculous need to make the day about them.

I do agree but its a hard pill to swallow when youre super insecure. Never really had that outside validation in the first place so its hard not to seek it. Just wish one time it WAS about me lol
