They they generally only pay sales tax if they are undocumented, as is usual in every other western country that collects sales taxes. When an American visits another country, say Canada they have to pay sales tax on purchases. In some cases non citizens use a TIN and report income to collect money they did not pay in i.e. child tax benefits and earned income credits or if they are a documented alien such as a student or have a work visa. If one is a guest worker in say Canada you have to pay income tax to Canada. Almost every country works the same way Again if they feel they are unrepresented and do not care for that they are free to return to their homelands. In what other country can you be a guest worker and demand the right to vote? In what other country can your first action is to break the law live there illegally and demand the right to vote? When a true citizen of a country is not allowed to vote for a representative and have a say in taxation that is taxation without representation. Just like at home if you say the lights go out at ten your not going to let some uninvited guest come into your home and say the lights turn off at 12.
