Love the videos! Some Zero owners in New Zealand look forward to buying you two a beer and pizza when you get here 👍 The belt noise is the belt Wookie, he comes alive in the wet, and should go back to sleep when it dries out. Though the belt should not be so slack as to be movable by hand on the rear sprocket, retensioning is quick and easy for any motorcycle shop (or you could do it if the Jimmy has a paddock stand and a few simple tools). If you haven't already grab a spare belt or two from the next Zero dealer you pass, the belts are unique to Zero, if one snaps far from a dealer you'll be stuck waiting for a replacement by post.

Maree doesn't back down from a good joke 08:33! Good on you Maree! :D Touche! Amazing that even a small-ish town like that still has multiple chargers. Europe is SO far ahead of America. My former workplace, Pratt & Whitney, had 10 charging stations. Pretty progressive in America! Stay safe!

Glad the charging worked out! They really need one app to rule them all. Same issue here in the US. I have about 10 charging apps, some of which hold money captive because you have to prefill the account. Tap to pay with phone or credit/debit card should be the way. Your belt may need occasional alignment and tension check. That might be worth getting the tools for. It's not hard, but you need the tools. I would say you could go to dealers and have them do it...but likely not in Nepal. :-). So best to be self-sufficient. My 2022 Zero SR/S uses a 27mm socket to loosen the axle nut and a T45 Torx to adjust the tension on each side. You'll need those tools if you need to change a belt on the road as well which is the weak part of the Zeros. If you didn't get a spare belt, this would be the time to order that while you're still in Europe. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKq2eZVteL6NbNE

I'm curious, what's the rate when u charge your bike. And do you have to pay per kw/h or minute charging? In Italy or in Europe in general. It's just here in Latvia, 50kw fast chargers mostly charge you per minute. At the moment its 0.32 euro per minute.

Marie should use the passenger foot peg to get on the back of the bike - like getting on a horse. If you’ve got pulsing disc brakes cleaning the bobbins, or the braking surfaces won’t help. Mostly likely it’s a bad rotor - it’s not unusual as I’ve had at least 3 bikes with Brembo brakes which had that problem at relatively low mileages and I ended up replacing the rotors and that cured it.
@MarcTravels

@nockianlifter661
@nockianlifter661 Жыл бұрын
@@lakesbiker7286 what do you mean by ‘coked up’ ? Rotors are self clearing unless there is contamination from greases/oils, but those contaminants don’t make them pulse, it just reduces braking power. Brembo have admitted there is an issue, the cause, according to them, is not drying out the brakes/callipers properly after washing, or wet rides. The pistons have a habit of sticking in the seals -sometimes made worse because the Teflon coating gets damaged on the higher end callipers. I have 2 bikes now with Brembos and the brakes are always fully dried with a bike dryer before being put away. Once a year I pull the callipers and make sure the pistons move freely and equally, if they start sticking I rebuild.

We should fine all power station with their own card.. and when they don't work as well... providers should take all securities to have backups... otherwise : fine of 1 financial year... that will make them putting backups etc... and for the cards... if an ATM normal bank in the country accept the card... the powerstation MUST accept as well and the price will be the cheapest available for all accepted cards... Only FINES will make them care of their installations.... they understand only 1 word... money... so we have to give them what they are looking for.

I agree with you. By making so many videos I guess they have to be pumped out quickly and that leaves little time for researching anything about the places along the way. It would be nice to have an insight to the actual places that the trip is going through. I really like what Marc and Maree are doing but in all honesty I have stopped watching every video and tend to skip a few days as a charging station in Germany, the challenge of it working, the related frustartions and so on is no more or less exciting than one in Italy. I understand it is part of the experience and so is relevant to be included but it does not make daily compelling viewing. When they are able to show us more of the places and tell us something about them then it will be better. I do not want to be harsh, as they clearly are making the journey so they can make the video of it and so need the views to get the many to pay for the whole thing plus they seem like a real nice couple of young people.
