Outside of the universe there is no time. So technically those scientists are correct. But within the bubble of space time there is both space and time. There is four dimensional time travel but it depends on three locations of placement within space to get you anywhere from point A to B .The level of accumulated knowledge man has "discovered" is only a thimble full of what the universe has yet to be offered and explored.

to this i agree. its just a manmade concept(similar to mathematics) that introduces a kind of a reference frame to the events that transpire in universe(just so people can say, that something happened in x time, or that it happened in the past, or that it might happen later - a prediction based on current state of an event). this concept introduces a form of precision to equations, that try to represent world that surrounds us, expressed(mostly) by use of mathematics, nothing more.

@@Young_Dab I think that time is perceived by humans as a measurement of an opposition to a force. For example, it takes longer to walk through water than is does through air, therefore time has increased. Anything that had mass ie water is created initially from energy. I think that for everything to stop (zero motion) there would have to be a state of zero energy, ie nothing. At this point time stops. The passage of time is actually just an observation that there has been a change in entropy. If there is no change in entropy, time appears to stand still. @@drummermanrick A beginning does not have anything to do with time. That is an effect of your bias. It can be difficult to view things in an unbiased state especially when you are so constrained by it. To get to the truth you not only need to question everything everyone tells you but you need to question everything you tell yourself. Otherwise you will stay rigidly locked in your own bias. Since no one really knows hiw the univers started or if what we call the universe is just a small section of the real universe and the big bang is a relatively small section of something that happened in the actual universe AND the big bang creates almost as many issues as it solves using that to try to prove anything is completely unscientific. You dont use an incomplete and unproven theory to "prove" anything, it just does not work. Also a begining is simply when the rate at which things happen changes from an imperceptibly small number to a much larger one. It has nothing to do with time. I suspect you can not tell the difference between the rate at which things happen and time. Technically they are 2 very different things. It would make more sense to me to consider time as the (one and only) real dimension of spacetime, and the three spatial dimensions as imaginary. This way the coordinates of any event in spacetime can be written as a quaternion. Also, one can measure time in a single location, but it is impossible to measure distance instantly. Sure, one can read a measuring rod instantly, but it takes time to place the rod. And one can measure a star’s redshift instantly and calculate the distance from it, but only using photons that the star emitted some time ago. The minimum amount of time required to measure any distance d is d/c. Maybe time is real and space is emerging.

I don't know, I'm simply a high-school graduate whose worked manual labor his whole life, but if it turns out that time as we believe it to exist today as a measurable entity, does not really exist, and we come to realize that measurable time is simply a construct of the human mind, as is in measuring one's life from the moment of birth to the moment of death, then is it not at least somewhat logical to suggest that all the things in existence that we govern with measurable time, as we do for example with the length of our own lives, that it's all wrong, that in fact those things are not governed by measurable time because time doesn't exist so something like the length of a human life in regards to time it's just something that we've let ourselves to believe in?? So if we were to accept that measurable time is not real and we no longer attempted to govern such things with measurable time then how would that ultimately affect everything like human life.

This is fundamentally incorrect. And an outright lie. The word we use to describe what we believe is time, as well as the definition of the word, and how we measure it, are all artificial. We created that. But what we “call” time is a real physical thing. There is no denying that. Because it moves differently depending where you are or what you are doing. If you could stand next to a black hole for one year, where gravity is so strong that time moves more slowly, if you could instantly return back to earth after that year, everyone you know would be long dead, and you will only have aged one year. Also time moves slower the faster your moving. If you went to a race track and had two people synchronize their watches, and one person stood still in the center of the track, and the other got into a race car and drove around the track at 200mph for an extended period of time, when they got back together and checked their watches the person who was driving would be wearing a watch that is behind the person standing still because time moved more slowly for the person in the car.

General relativity works only with real things like matter that can be measured and observed, well some anyways. And quantum mechanics deals with probabilities and uncertainties, so they don't clash well. One describes the real world we live in and the other describes what happens in an extremely small world of possibilities. Time exists as a dimension, IE something that can be measured or observed. If it can be measured or observed then it is real in our slow mass frame of time. Saying time doesn't exist is like saying the Earth and Sun doesn't exist, even though they can be measured and observed.

The faster you go the shower time moves.. take 2 synced watches. One stays on the ground the other gets flown around on a jet... they found out that when the jet lands. The watch on the ground is ahead of the one that flew around hundreds of mph. All Astronauts experience this as well as anyone who's ever flown. The amount is almost un noticeable. But there's still a difference. So time really doesn't work with general realitivity. Does it?

Time can't be measured in the same way that space or any other unit of measurement like temperature or weight. There many different units of time and ones perception of time changes based on their state of being such as being sleep or doing things that interest you (making time seem to speed up). Time is all relative to what you are doing and both past and future are mere ideas with the present having no direct no direct objective meaning at all.
@bobbyhandley5581

@@douche8980 nice theory. But time can easily be measured like weight or temperature or distances for that matter. It's all human perception. But unlike the latter measurements. Which the unit of measurement changes depending on where your from(meter/foot, grams/pound, Fahrenheit/Celsius) Time with our species is universal. A second is a second worldwide. 60 seconds make up a minute, 60 Minutes =1 hour, 24 hours = 1day. 365 days in a year.(except leap year) 10 years in a decade, 10 decades a century. No matter where your from. Measured only in one unit. And the only thing that changes time is perception.( except speed, but I'll get into that later if requested). Your perception makes you feel like time flew by. But your watch measured an hour. As did everyone else's around you. Just your perception to time changed. Not the measurement. An hour still past even tho it felt like 30 mins to you. And to the kid in class watching the clock it felt like 3 hours. Only 1 hour actually passed. At which both of you can verify by looking at the clock. So really only your perception of time is actually irrelevant because the measurement, which is universally agreed apon, never changes. Unless your moving faster then everything around you. Like in a jet or rocket. That's when the measurements actually begin to differ from one to another. The faster you go the slower time will move. 2 watches one on me and one on you. If you get on a rocket and go straight up at really high speeds for an extended period of time turn around and come straight back. When we compare the two watches. You'll find that not as much time has passed on your watch as has mine. The difference really isn't alot. But there is a difference.

To understand time and space (spacetime) you need to explore how our brains try to “grasp” reallty. We can only understand the world around us by processing the information provided by our senses. Imagine living in an ocean of water molecules that are all identical, all moving by brownian motion. Suppose you can see the water molecules moving, but cannot distinguish one from another. How could you tell time? If you look away from a molecule, you would not be able to find it again. Although you could see them move relative to each other, you could not track them relative to each other, thus you could not measure how far they move relative to each other. You would have absolutely no frame of reference for either time or space because everything is moving randomly. The ONLY reason you might experience “time” would be because your brain (especially your visual system) and short-term memory “tell you” that things are moving - implying a sense of time. But still, time is not independent of space, namely you cannot measure time if you cannot measure something changing position in space.

Using a time machine to go back in history and visit the dinosaurs is impossible since time itself doesn't exist and isn't a thing you can manipulate in such a way to actually pull it off. The best we might be able to do is alter the mind and / or body of someone to make them have a different perception of time compared to other humans on Earth. I believe...Time is: A measure of change in the entire existing universe, caused by the motion of matter/energy/space expansion in relation to itself. Because time is founded in motion, time is relative to speed. Time and space are the same in that space itself is expanding, thus moving, movement is change, and time is simply a measurement of that change. So time is as real as space and it’s motion of expansion. Not so difficult to understand really.

No separate things existing means this cosmos is just one infinite all encompassing reality. One infinite reality means there is no such a thing as you and me as we know it. Either we are nothing or we are everything. If you are everything then it means nothing lies outside of you. This means you are the ultimate reality. Only you exist. And everything you see and consider to be other than you.. is happening within you.

Our perception of time could be distorted by the assumption that our existence, “as a life form,” is a process that begins with birth and ends with death. In actual fact, death is just the beginning of a new life. This means that our existence is a dynamic, circular, unchanging cycle of birth, death and rebirth. The cycle itself does not change. It transcends time.

You would find the concepts discussed interesting and thought provoking for sure even if you don't believe that the information is coming from a being from another planet. You can't only watch one episode because there is a lot of information that needs to be conveyed before you can understand. It really takes the whole series to see that model of existence and the mechanics within it.

Great video 👌🏻 Space time seems to be the cause of everything including perceived gravity. Planets causing space time to speed up and warp around them, in turn cause objects to fall toward the slower time pooling up around the planet. Faster space time = slower observed time. The universe requires space time to remain a constant and this is similar to lift being created by air flowing under and over a planes wing. Mind blowing shit

Space is a stationary negative field of resistance (cold). Heat (motion) is mass in quantum fields of force in resistance to space. Occupational mass in space is in equalization of pressure between forces in entanglement. Gravitational fields of forced motion holding mass together. Mass is occupied space in equalization. Magnetic fields of forced motion holding atmospheres in, are examples of weaker Gravitational fields of forced motion holding mass together. Hydrogen absorbs heat and becomes helium, and is a stronger example of, Gravitational fields of forced motion. Space doesn't bend or curve. Negative resistance of space repelling mass towards Occupational space is the reason proximity mass leans towards massive occupied planetary objects. Gravitational fields of forced motion holding resistance from repelling outward pressure is the weakest point. So, when astroids, comets, etc...get pushed by negative space towards occupied space as the weakest point of resistance. Heat rising rapidly through a atmosphere, burning through it, produces waves of light and sound in its wake. Heat passing through a filament in a bulb produces light. Heat is the force resistant to space. Temperature is accumulated heat, that is mass in all forms. Spacetime is the point to point of interaction between forces traversing space. It is a tool used for measuring passed interactions to predict future likely events. Motion has a cycle that is multidimensional in quantum fields of forced motion.

I kind of feel like there are similarities between time and language. Language doesn't really exist either. Language is just a word that we use to describe communication, it doesn't exist without life. It isn't a law of nature. Time is similar, maybe. Time May not exist without instances of things changing. Unfortunately we can't do an experiment where we create a room where nothing will change within that room. Such an experiment would require that the room existed before the big bang and would continue to exist after the end of the universe. So, in the way that language does exist because we say it does... It's a word we use to describe an idea, time also exists in the same way. It's a word we use to describe the order of things. I'm just not sure it exists as a law of nature, it just may be a byproduct of it.

This is because the structure of time is not the same as the flow of time. The present represents the flow of time. The past and the future combined are the continuum and the present is a slice of that continuum. This means that Time has a preferential slice. Why Time has a preferential slice, called the present, is a question I don’t think many have thoroughly investigated. This preferential slice in the continuum of time could be something to do with what mass is since mass creates an attractive force called gravity. Gravity could be a change in direction of time, Think about pulling a string through an eye in a needle and the string changing directions at the eye. The string could represent the structure of time, the eye in the needle could represent the present time, and the bend in the string could be gravity. So what is the needle? Maybe it is something that is not part of our universe pulling on our universe to form preferential slices of time and gravity. Maybe the present time, or preferential slice of time, is the response to our universe orbiting a multiverse through hyper gravity. This could be like a fourth dimensional orbit or a time orbit. So in this way time could be seen like another spatial dimension Allowing us to use the geometry in string theory to describe it. {! Point to point.. Time exists regardless as to how it may be perceived or measured. For every beginning is a path that leads to an end. And that involves a definitive space in the time continuum. This should be apparent to any cognitive human mind. It's quite possible that extra- dimensional physics /a parallel universe may alter time as we've come to understand it. From the millisecond to a milinia. Yet, none the less time exists and is a constant. We see this each day in our lives. Anyone who'd propose that time is simply an illusion, is not quite the expert they'd wish other's to realize, physicist or not. I read here in another post that outside the universe time doesn't exist. How would one possibly state such an unproven thing? That's an interesting hypothesis, but unprovable at present, and most probably never provable. If there was "something" beyond the known universe, there would certainly exist a demarcation line separating the universe from what exists outside if it. As an example; if the physical universe was the space within say, a balloon.... Then the only possible area outside the balloon would also take up space in order the separation between the two would be conceptualized. The only reasonable consideration would be another universe. And I believe that time would be a constant here just as well, although it could be much different than what we've come to know in ours. P.S. What "time" did you send this message? 😁
