I was once forced to watch 9 vs 2 fight, where 9 absolute simpletons went one by one and lost the match. Those 2 enemy tanks stood victorious and unharmed, i wasnt sure if i should laugh or cry. This game is just too ridiculous way too often.

I like the earlier video publishing Claus. Your videos used to come out at 8:00 AM in my central US time zone. Now they come out at 6:00 AM. I like it. It helps me get my day started a little earlier. Thanks.

It's this weird time change thing. Some places change their time and some don't so the video release time changes.

Yeah, I'm in NC (so Eastern Time Zone) and Claus' videos would drop at 0800 which was good for me as I am retired and it was in line with my meds and breakfast. Then the time change hit and it was wtf!? They started dropping at 0900. Then I mentioned it to Claus, probably with a bunch of other people, so he changed the drop time to get it back in sync. Now it is 0700. Can't catch a break. But regardless of the time slot, unless it affects viewer numbers, at least we get the opportunity to have his videos to view.

For new players, if you’re in an strv and getting circled by a light or med, take it out of siege mode. Autolock and you’ll rotate around quickly with the tank

There’s no way the SPG had anything other than an extremely remote chance of winning. Play that scenario 100 times and the SPG would win 5 times max. You’re being too hard on him. The Jagpz lost that game by panic firing like a clown.

Last Battle: Well "Mr Rocket Scientist", if he sat in that bush, he had been outspotted easily and then he is basically sitting in the open without any cover. Behind the house he might have been lucky, if that light has a greedy brainfart...... small chance but it is there. BTW ist that bush even large enough to hide all visiual points on a that large artillery? I doubt it. Conclusion: If RNG says yes you might win and if it says no, you have most likely lost.

Oyster Bay and Outpost are going on my no play list. Making a huge, visually appealing map is pointless if it's designed so that only 25% of it ever has any tanks battling on it. I been meaning to cancel them purely because I get put on them so often, several times in a row some days, but now I can see why.

When playing as an SPG, sometimes being outside of the bushes is better because the bushes are obvious targets for counter-arty fire.

Yeah that first map is a good example, I eventually worked out best spots for arty is to line up with one of the gun-barrel corridors and farm heavies, in a TD that map is horrible. If nobody advances in the open areas, (which they don't cos it's suicide by TD), it's very boring, if you advance even slightly in a TD your gonna die quick.

I think one of the saddest thing in this game is the crap maps. How hard would it be to take the lay out of real tank battle scenes and portray them in the game. Or better yet, even just take real map topography from any real map and lay it down as the field of battle. I so look forward to trying out Steel Aces, that is promoting to use realistic maps with only real tanks that come from history not some napkin drawing.

Here is how you know the game and MM is Rigged, IF the game/matches wasn't rigged you shouldn't have to wait in for a match for 2-3 min with 400+ players in queue after all it only takes 30 to make a match, my look at it is that MM take 90% plays with 50% + Win rate in one team and 90% players with win rates under 50% on the other team, that's why so often you end up wit a 3-15 results soo often, and you know your on the losing team then your first 4-6 FULL AIMED shoot bounce or don't penetrate even when shoot point blank with a Jg Panzer E100 on a tier 8 light tank

Hey Claus - I have a hypothesis regarding the way people play this game; no real data but it feels right. (A) 1st assumption: WG prefers to categorize WoT as an arcade game, not a simulation. A lot of us still playing video games grew up in the era of the video arcade playing twitch games like Space Invaders, Frogger, Pac-Man, etc - suspend thinking and allow reflexes to take over. (B) 2nd Assumption - I hate to criticize some of my favorite movies but ... in "Top Gun/Top Gun: Maverick" Pete Mitchell keeps telling his fellow aviators "do, don't think" and "you think up there, you're dead". So it seems to me a lot of folks have been media-trained NOT to think in an arcade-style shooter video game. But as you point out - surprise! WoT IS ENOUGH of a simulation to actually require some real-time thinking during gameplay. So what happens, at least in the "good" games - the twitchers die quickly and the thinkers survive to have a close game at the end.

I have a different theory. There are tons of people with a low. Attention span and the modern Day internet with all those fast media, superficial attitude mupppets on tiktok just make this become the norm. Doesnt mean they are idiots but that they are raised that way and only a few people are menttally strong enough to compensate it. Earlier generations like mine who saw the upcoming of the internet as young adults dont have this problem so much.

The frustrating part is when some of us started in beta, and the game was MORE of a Sim, and we still LIKE that aspect of it, but 90% of your teammates are Overwatch graduates, and you're not going to get the thinking game you might want. I like a good blend, but would prefer a 60/40 or 70/30 in favor of sim, and WoT nowadays tends more toward 70/30 or 80/20 in favor of arcade shooter.

Hey Claus.....Do you by any chance play chess. You sometimes like near the end of the game need to slow down and wait for your opponent to make a move and hope it's a mistake. I enjoy tank battle where you need to wait and plan your move or hope they make a mistake....Patience is a virtue. You don't need to run around like chicken with your head chopped off all the time. You seem to get bored unless you are running around shooting your gun....Patience. I for one like the suspense of waiting. Just saying. Good videos.
