@ maybe in the short term, but long term prices will stabilize. Most renewables are dependent on subsidies and are not market driven or even affective. Any strategy pushed by government, rather than the market, will be inherently inefficient and corrupt.

@@Elger77 When you say short term then I assume you are talking about years, not weeks. Yes, prices will stabilize eventually. Renewable energy isnt dependent on subsidies as you forget fossil fuels have been on subsidies for many decades. If it was an even playing field then renewables would easily be the most inexpensive. When dealing with the health and security of the nation, then government should push the market and if the market does not want to be pushed then mandate it.

If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! this will help you spread risk.

Stick with a good company by either not selling when it’s going lower and/or buying more at that time. Almost always the good well managed companies will come back strong at some point. The other is to buy when the markets are tanking and in downturns in the economy. View that as a time when you are getting stocks on sale.

So the key to reducing energy prices is to make it profitable for oil companies at $30 per barrel, not $80 per barrel. And to do that, the cost of production must be reduced. To reduce the cost of production, regulations must come down... including the newer regulations imposed by the Biden administration. I am just summarizing the key point made in this video. The other point made in this video was: About half a trillion dollars is spent every year to comply with the filing of income taxes. That is almost as much money as we spend on our defense budget. If we switch to a tariff-based revenue system for the government, all of that compliance expense goes away... we would effectively get our defense budget for FREE, compared to what we're paying right now for defense.

Less regulations means more accidents(remember Palestine, Ohio?), more ground water pollution(no need for ground water, right?) and just more general pollution. Tariffs means US consumers will pay more for the vast majority of products they buy. Only the very very few 100% American-made products wont increase in price. So essentially Americans will pay the price for Big Oil to sell more oil and for the government to increase their income(kind of like higher taxes).

Not a penny earned here and not a penny spent. Fictional dough.

Clean energy is importantly needed to be focused on. Not forced down our throats prior to technological readiness and particularly cost effectiveness and under a program other than that presently in place by radical Democrats. Replace the use of farm land with the use of rooftops both residential and commercial for both solar and wind generation. Incorporate into roofs and hoods of cars as well. Build cost effective structures over parking lots that will both provide shelter for parking vehicles and power generation. Give the equipment and materials to the people and let us all produce collectively and for free. Put tax dollars to work effectively. Etc…

We already know how to cut back on gasoline use: Proper air pressure in tires; empty the excess weight the car is hauling around (clean the dang thing out, and if that excess weight is you, 3 slices of pumpkin pie is enough, really, you won't die). Combine trips to town and get your errands done in one trip, not 3. Don't drive when you're bored, clean the house instead.
