nice find! I used to have it in my complete 41-95 blue book. it got stolen along with all my other books. I gave up all my collecting after that over 13 years ago. Now I am going to make a go of it again..

Nice small date. That's a coin (at least for me) thats kinda tough to distinguish from the large date unless you know what to look for. I've been blessed to find a couple of these roll hunting through the years and they're always fun to come across. Congratulations and good luck hunting.

Paul, for grading purposes PCGS does NOT accept coins in flips with STAPLES in them...I tape all of mine with Scotch tape along the three open sides...

Congratulations on the small date 1970s kind of reminds me I watched a video of a 87 D repunched mint mark as I was looking through rolls of pennies and the very next 87 D mint mark was a repunched mint mark it was so weird and coin op yeah he's good but I've caught him on a quite a few things he was wrong about so always double-check

I also like to immediately look at the curve of the 9, not only does it point east, but small dates have more of an overall oval like shape whereas the LD has more of a perfect round circular shaped curve.
